This includes some examples from Lensman: Secret of the Lens as well as some commericals.
Old computer graphics demos are pretty cool sometimes.
Goddamn I love early techno computer graphics, it feels like a lost art
All the old Capcom FMVs give me some serious nostalgia everytime I see them. Some of my best gaming memories are the ones from the Resident Evil and Dino Crisis games.
having a portfolio looking like JCGL's in the early 90's would have been impressive, damn

this was pure hype fuel for getting into 3D back in the day
Damn, this reminds me of my earliest dreams when I was a toddler. Most of my dreams back then were like these old graphics demos, there was even that cheesy old electronic music in them.
Does anyone remember the name of the video that was about a sphere that traveled around the universe and was trying to look for something? I think it was made in the 70s and if I remember correctly, it was a huge leap in CGI.
The fact that all of these videos are lo-fi adds to them. Nowadays everything feels way too clean.
Always feel like I've got to bring up the early, EARLY pre-Animusic Animusic stuff whenever primitive CGI is brought up:

70s demo reel, with some corporate logo animations and strange choice of classical and disco music. The slightly fluttery audio and hazy look makes it for me.
There was also this from the 70s:

I like the music in this one.
I am so in love with the way old computer graphics look.
Can't forget the classic.

It's nuts how far we've come in just 30 years.

There's this amiga demo that I think a lot of people on here are familiar with in some way.

Its crazy. All of this could be done on consumer hardware, many even in real time.
