We all got one. Don't ask why, but I enjoyed it. A lot. And maybe, just maybe, I'm wrong and people liked it, but I have heard a lot of bad opinions about the movie.

In many ways I can see this work to be far superior to Othello.
Avatar. I know, I know, I'll get flamed. But seriously, I do realize it's basically Pocahontas with blue people, but I still liked it. I thought it was a decent enough action movie with some pretty cool looking environments. Maybe I just don't have very high standards when it comes to movies, and I'm not saying I loved it but still, it was a decent enough movie. Bring on the boxes and disagrees. [editline]20th December 2010[/editline] Well it wasn't entirely an action movie, but the battle sequences were still fun to watch.
District 9, although everyone on the internet loves it, im yet to find someone around my campus who does.
Jackie Brown.
Watchmen. Everyone I know hates it :saddowns:
Happy Feet..
I liked Avatar and Transformers 2 :saddowns:
dude, what are you talking about everybody loves The Room
It has the passion of Tennessee Williams afterall. [editline]20th December 2010[/editline]
District 9, although everyone on the internet loves it, im yet to find someone around my campus who does.
Yeah I know what you mean. I have a couple of friends who I watched it with and they love it, but so many people I know seem to hate it just because they think South African accents are funny... or something stupid like that. [editline]20th December 2010[/editline] Again, everyone on the internet seems to love this film but in my experiences with friends, opinion is very divided. A few friends loved it but the vast majority seem to think it was too slow and too boring. Embarrassingly, the much prefer the British racist/homophobic/xenophobic Daily Mail version of the film; Harry Brown.

I'm still totally and utterly confused to fuck over that movie.
Watchmen. Everyone I know hates it :saddowns:
Probably because it was shit.
I liked it :(
I used to love that film. But then again I was 6 years old.
Alien Resurrection was my favorite of the four. Also Ocean's 12.

They look really impressive, but some of them (Specially the blue cat-like giant smurfs) look a bit too similar to real Earth animals (And also other fictional creatures: the Banshee's wing design reminds me to a certain speculative pterosaurid from Dougal Dixon's "The New Dinosaurs") and not too alien-ish, but it's most likely Cameron's decision to make the viewer "feel identified" with the planet, Wayne can create much more alien-ish creatures (Read his book "Expedition", or the movie version "Alien Planet", those creatures don't look like anything you've ever seen) A good read about this subject can be found in this article from one of my favourite blogs: http://scienceblogs.com/tetrapodzoology/2010/01/creatures_of_avatar.php
Resident Evil, even though it had nothing to do with the games it was still an entertaining zombie film.
The Island, that film by Michael Bay. The guy who plays Neelix in Voyager was great in it.
Scott Pilgrim vs The world. The internet loves it, everyone I know hates it.. :saddowns:
Hot Rod and Napoleon Dynamite. I found them both very funny and entertaining movies.
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Not sure why, but it's one of those movies I love to watch.
Jackie Brown.
Jackie Brown is probably my favourite Tarantino movie
transformer movies internet hates it, everybody around me loves it.
Transformer movies on the internet everyone hates it and everyone around me... hates it. Anyways, Scott Pilgrim was one of those film that some people around me really despised and it's really a shame.
Watchmen. Everyone I know hates it :saddowns:
That was probably the second best movie that I saw last year. Getting the Ultimate Cut for Christmas, has the Black Freighter interspersed into the film along with a bunch of deleted scenes, I can't wait to see it again. I don't understand the hate for it. Sure, it has a few unnecessary action sequences and badly placed music but apart from that it's pretty much copied scene for scene and word for word from the novel. Also, I preferred the ending in the movie over the ending in the novel.
Eyes Wide Shut. Everyone at my school calls it "Eyes Wide Shit". Jesus, just one more year of these people...
Eyes Wide Shit
bwhahahaahhaahahaaaaa
The Independence Day
People hated that?
Star Trek: First Contact My entire hometown doesn't understand it.
