Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback C.J. Wilson lost two fingers in a Fourth of July fireworks accident, the Lincoln Times-News reports citing sources close to the family. The story was first confirmed by the player's representatives to the Tampa Tribune, who categorized the injury as severe. The Bucs are aware of the injury and released a statement. "We are aware that C.J. was involved in an accident that occurred over the July 4th holiday," the team said. "It is our understanding that the injury occurred to one of his hands and our primary concern at this moment is for his long-term health. We have been in contact with C.J. and are continuing to monitor the situation." These guys are geniuses
It's not just football players, my dad back when he was in the Royal Engineers had to take someone to a medical station after they decided to hit an explosive charge designed to simulate a tank mine during an exercise with a ball hammer, just 'to see what happened' and lost several fingers in the first place.
First someone blow and injured their head, then this player gets his finger blown off... They should remember to move away as soon as possible when it's lit.
