I've always thought that this game had an interesting concept, but it's just not executed very well
If a good developer were to take the idea of this and implement it well, it'd be a great game.
Heck, you could intermix it with some Dungeon Siege stuff and it could be even better.
I'm glad to see Ross seems to have played Titan Quest, but I was hoping to see a Game Dungeon on it and that seems unlikely now.

THAT would be my jam.
If y'all are looking for a game with a similar premise, you ought to try Depths of Peril. It's not really a city-builder, since all of the amenities in town are already made. Instead, it's a weird strategy dungeon crawler, where you have to work with and against the groups vying for control of your town while fending off attacks from outside.
I was reminded most of Majesty when watching this, but it also warms my heart to know that Ross likes Actrasier too.
When I was a quarter into the video I was hoping he'd mention Actraiser and thankfully he did.
