Help Me Raise A Cute Kitteh? Lots of Pics - More To Come

Let me skip straight to the story. At the end of this post there is a link to a google map view of the route I take from my bus stop(point A)to my apartment's clubhouse (point D). Open it in a new tab if you want a visual image of what I'm about to say.

-School ends for me at 2:20PM.
-School buses depart from the school at 2:27PM.
-I get to my bus stop at around 2:56PM. From there it's exactly a 15 minute walk to my home at my pace (people tell me I walk very fast).

After getting off the bus I walk a few yards and make a left on a curve. On this sidewalk are backyards with pools. A few yards after walking the curve I spot a very tiny kitty with some vegetation sprouting from its cranium making its way out of a chain-link fence (that's point B on the map). I could feel the poor thing's ribs when I picked him up.

He sees me and scurries back into a ditch by the fence. He saw, however, that I meant no harm when I bent down so he came to explore me.

I let him sit on my uniform shirt while I pondered what to do with him.

[b]So I thought I would ask you guys for help. Lately there have been many threads where destiny brings a FPer and an animal together (cat, bird, tic, etc.)[/b]

On the way home I thought about what to feed him (I'm a dog type of person by the way). When I got home I opened him a small can of tuna and gave him a third of it(keep in mind that was literally my food for the day)and served him a bit of water in the tuna can after I washed it.

I fixed him a little home because I won't see him again today until about 9PM and I would rather he stay safe in my home than get run over or eaten on the street, or worse, die slowly and painfully of hunger on the street.

I am already taking a risk with this because getting caught with a pet here will cost you a $75 fee plus a warning (after this there's just another warning left before you're kicked out). Additionally I don't even have money for my own food at least once a week. I really would take care of this cat by myself if it was in my power but I simply can't.

So I wanted to ask you guys in helping me care for this kitty until it has grown enough to take care of itself. What I propose is that a paypal account is made and small deposits are made by you, the readers (I'm talking maybe 25 cents or whatever spare change you want to give). The funds here will be used to buy whatever the kitty needs or whatever you guys want to suggest(food, flee collar, name tag, blankies, etc.). I am an honest person and can be trusted with the Paypal account. Also, I will provide logs directly from the website on income and expenses. If you do not trust me you can nominate someone very respected and known on Facepunch to handle the Paypal account.

At the request of the readers I will take photographs and videos to show the cat's growth. I can also use any money to buy it things like a clothes for when it gets cold. If you guys personally want to send the cat some things (socks, yarn, toys, etc.) just message me and I'll see if I give you the shipping address because I won't give out the address to everyone (obviously some people might abuse this).

Some users have messaged me telling me that
they want to have other forums join in and make
donations for Raisin. And others have voiced the
same feeling in this thread.

Since we have enough money to cover the visit to the vet
(the most expensive thing on the list) I was thinking
that maybe now we can have different users rake care of Raisin
for period of at least 7 days at a time. To get the most people
possible in on this I recommend everyone tell their friends and people
around them, and give members of other forums the link to this thread.

1) It exposes Raisin to MANY new experiences if she gets to travel a lot (meditating on this really makes me mellow)

Tips:

Make a scratching post by wrapping rope around a 2x4 and nail it onto a wooden square flat thing for support.

If you have hardwood floors, or non-carpet areas, just simply put a straw on the ground for a toy. The only things you should need to buy it in terms of toys is some catnip. Attaching a sock filled with newspaper and catnip to a string will work just as well if not better than some fish shaped plush.

I love cats to death and I feel awful for saying this, but if you're unsure you'll be able to pay for the food and comfort that the cat wants, it might be better to give it to somebody who could. At least it would be happiest there.

The google Map shows the area where I live. If you can find a nearby shelter then please message me that. Although people seem to like this project

I would advise against taking him to a shelter. At most shelters, they euthanize any pets who've been there for over two weeks. :ohdear:

Try and find someone to adopt him if you can't take care of him yourself. Put up fliers around school or ask your friends.
