the sketches they have on american chat shows are always pretty funny but i find the scripted/semi-scripted build-ups to them really strange
like, it's a chat show... where you get famous guests in to talk to them about their lives and their new film/album whatever and get some behind the scenes funny stories and things like that. but then there's 5 minutes of scripted joke. i dunno i guess i just find the whole thing strange because it doesn't happen over here

Pretty sure it is not uncommon for almost the entire thing to be scripted on some shows here, even the causal banter.

I find it strange and I live in the US.
That was really awkward, but it got funnier towards the end.

Every time Justin sang I was crying. I think he didn't mind doing it, he just put that face for the comedic value of it.
