It's on Netflix right now for Instant Play. Anyone here ever watched the TV show of Batman? Take that show and make it R, and you have this movie. It was awesome as shit, one of my favorite superhero movies now. The fights are intense, they last long like if they are fucking robots. There is the violence you have been looking for in Batman movies. AND Robin is actually a badass. I never thought he worked out for the show, but he fit so well into the movie. ANNNNNNDDDDD The Joker is perfect. He is so evil and psycho in this, as he really should be. I loved his role. He is also played by the guy who fucking voices Bender. AAAANNNNNNDDDDD Neil Patrick Harris plays as Nightwing, Batmans sidekick who Batman really doesn't give one fuck about, which makes Batman even more badass.
Are you retarded, he's like he least fitting person for the role in the world, ability to voice comedy character =/= ability to voice insane character.
The Joker is a funny character. He's a joker
People don't open and close their mouths like that when they laugh for crying out loud! Too many animators make this mistake.
People don't open and close their mouths like that when they laugh for crying out loud! Too many animators make this mistake.
He's the joker. Your argument is now invalid.
Now try laughing and closing your mouth after each 'HA'.
This was a good flim! I had one, small, complaint. They showed Robin in his green diper of doom. Sure back in the 1960's that was considered okay, but now its just creepy.
haha holy shit, this joker is amazing.
Unless it's a Batman cartoon with Mark Hamil as the Joker, then it's not worth watching imo. And it seems like they kept Hamil's laugh, or is it just me?
Kinda reminds me of the Spawn series that was on HBO back in the mid-90s. [editline]30th December 2010[/editline] Which I should really make a thread about, that series is good shit.
DiMaggio was good, but for me Hamil will forever be Joker.
It took me a bit to warm up to the new voices. Well, John DiMaggio's Joker was surprisingly satisfying as I think he did it well. He made it his own without trying- but not withstanding- the familiarity of Mark Hamill's famous Joker. Here, he retained his insanity and had access to bluntly adult violence (Hamill's had a subtlety that began to push the bar of what is acceptable in a kid's show... and it was awesome!). I missed Kevin Conroy (the one TRUE animated Batman in my heart), but Bruce Greenwood gave Batman something of a grieving, disappointed father; which given the material of the story fit well. Jensen Ackles was just plain fun to listen to as the cocky badass Red Hood ("We're just a couple of walking armories!"). Some of the violence seemed a little unnecessary. It was almost a moment like 'just because you can, doesn't mean you should' but the fight scenes were always enjoyable nonetheless. I'm glad too that DC Animated films ventured into the darker areas of Batman's life by venturing into the Red Hood story (plus, it allowed them to introduce Black Mask, a personal favorite even though I don't read any comics). Even if he came off as if his blood pressure reach bloody Jupiter. Compared to the other animated DC films or maybe animated Batman films in general this is definitly up there with Mask of the Phantasm and Return of the Joker.
Am I the only one who prefers DiMaggio over Hamill when it comes to the Joker? I'm not saying Hamill is bad though.
Fucking Amazing movie..
I liked the part where Jason got his ass kicked by Joker.
i thought it sounded like john dimaggio my main problem is that his voice is too deep and sexy. the laugh is nice, but mark hamill has the wacky/evil perfect. [editline]1st January 2011[/editline] no cartoon joker will ever be this good
Am I the only one who prefers DiMaggio over Hamill when it comes to the Joker? I'm not saying Hamill is bad though.
Yes, you are.
I think he sounds like a mix between the movie Joker and the Hamill joker.
Brilliant movie, just watched it. The Storyline is epic, the characterizations were really good. I have to say the Joker's voice is a tad too deep, however John Dimmagio pulls it off very well. The Creepyness and insanity is very fitting. However The Red Hood is fucking brilliant. Loved how dark this cartoon movie was.
