(CNN) -- The Iranian nuclear scientist who returned home last week from the United States has provided valuable information about the CIA, Iran's semiofficial Fars news agency said Wednesday.
Fars cited an anonymous source who said Shahram Amiri's stay in the United States was a plan by Iranian intelligence that worked to perfection.
"This was an intelligence battle between America's CIA and us that was orchestrated and managed by Iran," the source was quoted as saying. "In planning this battle we saw a variety of intelligence goals and, with God's will, we reached all of our goals without our rival having gained any real victory."

Fars reported that Amiri provided the license plates of two CIA-owned vehicles as proof that he had infiltrated the spy agency. The plate numbers and the vehicle descriptions were published in the report.
There was no immediate response Wednesday night from the CIA to the Fars report.
The Fars report did not say what specific intelligence Amiri had provided about the CIA.
The report came a day after a government-linked Iranian film studio announced plans to make a movie about Amiri, who Iranian officials say was kidnapped by U.S. agents.
Amiri received a hero's welcome when he returned to Iran last week.
U.S. officials say he defected to the United States, and one official said Amiri received approximately $5 million for providing the U.S. government with "valuable, original information" on Iran's nuclear program.
Amiri apparently posted conflicting video messages on the Internet when he surfaced in the United States. In one, he said he was in the United States voluntarily studying for his doctorate. In another, he said he had been kidnapped by U.S. agents but had escaped.
Upon his return to Iran, Amiri, a researcher from Tehran's Malek Ashtar University, repeated his assertion that he had been kidnapped.
"I was abducted in Medina ... Then I was transferred to an unknown location in Saudi Arabia," Amiri told Iran's government-run Press TV. "They injected anesthetic drugs into me. They took me to the United States on a military plane.
"During my stay in the first two months, I was subjected to heavy psychological and mental tortures by CIA interrogators," he said. "Other kinds of pressure, too. They told me if I don't cooperate with them, they will hand me over to Israel and there are hidden prisons in Israel and there will be no trace of you any more."
Curious to what the CIA is going to say about this as they denied the kidnapping.

Just realised this is news about old news, thus making it news.
I like how there's just people in the background of the picture like "The hells going on?"

I semi believed it up until this point.

I suppose you never heard of Facility 1391?
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2003/nov/14/israel2
If the CIA kidnapped him, he would never of made it out of the US. The CIA isn't going to kidnap someone, than just let them go back, they're going to watch his finances and as soon as they see, oh he bought a plane ticket they would probably intercept him and have a few words with him.

I'm saying it sounds more like Iran are trying to redeem themselves by inventing an elaborate story about a double agent espionage mission. But they've gone overboard from watching too many Matt Daemon films.
well this isnt any thing new
the cia does this crap everywhere
it even happend in london i would post a link if i could find it :( but they just pick people up accuse them of being terrorists and hold them for as long as they want quite annoying since they should only have jurisdiction in th us
Woah, he got the license plates to two CIA vehicles!
He penetrated the CIA all nice and deep like.

Yeah I thought the same thing but it said that they didn't mention the contents of the 'valuable' information he got in the report. The license plates were merely as proof he was abducted.
If anyone was to go and sit a few miles down the road from Langley, and just wait for a few passing black cars, couldn't we all get those license plates? Not exactly conclusive evidence of his abduction.

Black cars? Yeah, thinking in stereotypes always helps. Open Google Earth and look at their parking lot dude.

It is when the numbers match CIA owned vehicles.
It is when the numbers match CIA owned vehicles.
Oh yes, they are parked in the secret underground facility so you can't see them.
Yeah man, geez, im such a douche for thinking that the CIA all use black cars. This was totally the tipping point for this whole argument.
Besides, desk employees of Langley aren't exactly gonna be driving official cars now are they? Also MOST of the cars on the left of the car park on Google earth ARE black.

CIA vehicles traveling down the road to wherever from where they are based (Langley)...

Yay, at least you got it.

IIRC, he made his way to the Pakistan embassy, then he pretty much told the world about it, or atleast he contacted Iran and Iran told the world about it.
Nothing is stopping the CIA from saying they didn't do it, assuming they didn't do it of course.
Why are people in the thread acting like it's outlandish to think the CIA would do this? They do this shit all the time, so when a guy comes out and says they did it and has license plates as proof, suddenly he's full of shit?
yeah i totally agree he was taken by cia, just like when they took me from my home in norway 2 years ago, they wanted to know how my chocolate fudge was so amazingly good.

lol, the CIA is not that soft. The CIA organises rebellions and assassinates leaders of major countries, installing new dictatorships in the process, I'm pretty fucking sure kidnapping is part of their repertoire

there are plenty of secrete prisons in Israel and the CIA has a love affair with Israel
p. sure that's not false

I doubt they're stupid enough to let the guy get away either if they truly did kidnap him. Why would you kidnap someone than let them free in the US of all places.
explain the licence plates then
Ever heard of fakes? They do it in movies, too.

convincing, Kade, really convincing.

When the CIA fucks up, they're really quiet about it.

The CIA hasn't investigated it.

Congrats for quoting the post where I mentioned Matt Damon. By the way the Matt Damon reference was a joke. Was hoping I wouldn't have to spell that out.
My point is that this guy could have seen those CIA plates ANYWHERE. He could have just sat outside Langley, or nearby, watching CIA cars go in and out. Christ he could have seen them pull up anywhere. Much more likely IMO.
But no, all the stuff in this article happened. And Iran never lies. rite?

He back traced it!! The consequences will... meh dont feel like getting banned

so CIA plates are just lying around everywhere?
so CIA plates are just lying around everywhere?
You're still assuming the plates are legit...
so CIA plates are just lying around everywhere?
Anywhere that there IS a CIA car. One of the most likely places being Langley (the CIA headquarters). I've said that twice before. At no point did I say laying around on the floor separate from a car. Use your brain man.
