In what could be the reveal of the name for Apple’s next generation iPhone, French gadget site Nowhereelse.fr has discovered a leaked photo of packaging for what appears to be the iPhone 5C.
The iPhone 5C could theoretically be the name of the plastic molding version of the iPhone that we’ve heard about in previous rumors — most notably in differt colors, such as radioactive vomit green. It would also line up with Apple’s history of releasing interim model iPhone between adding a brand new number, which it did with the iPhone 4S.
So I guess they're calling it the iPhone 5C because "5S" is kinda hard to identify/read?
The 5C, if legitimate, would most likely be the rumoured cheaper version of the iphone, not the "next-generation iphone"
I'm not sure if i would categorise iphone leak #13831 as news, either
I think they were going for 5C(heap).
the c stands for crap
[sp]thats a joke[/sp]
C for compact, I'm guessing

If anyone was looking for a cheaper iPhone, they'd pick up a 3GS or 4
C for Cost-reduced
there have been whispers of a new, smaller form factor

no one would pick up a 3GS unless it was free

You'd be surprised

The 3GS is slow as fuck, does not support iOS 7.
The 4 is very slow, and my guess is that it will be _slow_ as fuck with iOS 7. Since this has been the case with all new versions of iOS on a to 3+ year old iOS device.
At least they look well stored.

Actually, my 3GS and 4s were free and I did indeed pick them up and they both serve(d) me well.

Of course they're old and outdated but people who want an iPhone but cant afford the better editions go for the cheapest alternative, and apple really fucked up the 4 with the software updates that thing can't run anything
Cool. Now with every iPhone you get a free soup bowl because after you buy one you'll be unable to afford anything else.
Maybe they're trying to be funny by posting what it costs to make one of the phones in China?

oh man, this is way too true
this thing used to be great when I first got it, but with each firmware update it just got slower and slower to the point where this thing is just a piece of shit now that takes up to 30 seconds to start up an app
Leaky packaging is no good packaging, the oughta replace those.

maybe it can be used to cook spam in a car
You know people are desperate when the fucking packaging being leaked is news.
Definitely looks like packaging for the rumored cheaper model, its a big step down in quality from the usual iPhone packaging

I still run 4.2.1 on it. When I got it I was crazy and downloaded lots of games and apps but now I haven't installed one in two years.
How can you leak packaging
who honestly gives a fuck enough for this to be considered a leak
it's packaging.

Apple is insanely closed and never releases anything about their new products until they officially announce it. On most Apple blogs and sites people are trying to hunt for as many info as they can for their newest products.

Since Apple has their A5 chip as a standard SoC that likely won't occur with devices like the 4S and iPad 2 like it did with older phones. The iPhone 4 is crippled by its GPU(hence why it doesn't get the effects in iOS 7) and the original iPad was lacking in RAM big time.
I feel for you though, it's a legitimate grievance and it'd be nice if Apple had a method to go back to previous iOS versions.
Looks like something I'd put biscuits in.

iphone 5 cocks in your ass
Oh my god look at that revolutionary bold new design.
Apple saves PC gaming yet again!

Is there even a trace of a point to this post? When has Apple gave any kind of a fuck about PC gaming, or any gaming other than 3rd party casual games for their products?
