The Delaware State Lottery announced on Friday that it was banning Google Glass and similar devices from the state's three casinos. The agency said any patron wearing Google Glass or similar devices must remove them or be subject to eviction.
well, that's perfectly reasonable it's basically just a smart phone glued to your face, so it makes sense to ban them from places where you could get an unfair advantage
Shouldn't that be something left up to Casinos, though? I mean they are privately run aren't they
Shouldn't that be something left up to Casinos, though? I mean they are privately run aren't they
Gambling taxes make states money.
Shouldn't that be something left up to Casinos, though? I mean they are privately run aren't they
They'd do exactly the same thing.
There's nothing wrong with this.
I hope this is already true for courts...
They'd do exactly the same thing.
Yeah I don't doubt they would, but it just seems like a weird thing to make a state law
As a glass explorer who lives only a few blocks away from Empire City Casino I am perfectly fine with this law. Anytime I enter the casino for events or to play myself I place Glass in the carrying bag that comes with it. The same-thing I do for movie theaters. And on top of which no one even knows what the device is and no one questions it, I'm sure I could visit or go to a movie and not even be asked to take them off but I know that I should.
Gambling taxes make states money.
Generally casinos are outlawed federally with the exception of Vegas and Atlantic City. Most casinos are ran on Native American land, meaning they are not under the jurisdiction of the United States Government.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_casinos_in_the_United_States Way more areas outside of that.
why is there no "at"
Let me fix that for you. at[img_thumb]http://www.igameradio.com/game_assets/images/Poker-Night-Logo-full-color.jpg[/img_thumb]
Generally casinos are outlawed federally with the exception of Vegas and Atlantic City. Most casinos are ran on Native American land, meaning they are not under the jurisdiction of the United States Government.
this is full of bad info. 1) casinos are not outlawed federally, they are often heavily restricted on the state, county, and city levels. 2) i think there are actually more non-native casinos than there are native casinos these days. 3) tribes have what is called "tribal sovereignty", which exempts them from some restrictions states and the federal government create. tribal sovereignty is not full sovereignty and tribes still have to follow many federal/state/local laws and also have to pay certain taxes.
As a poker player, this is a good law. I don't some moron with hand statistics showing on Google Glass while he's sitting at the table.
The funny thing is that people who follow the raw math in poker to the letter are really easy for a professional to crush because they are completely and utterly consistent. It makes them very susceptible to bluffing and other stuff.
