Are Iowa and South Carolina voters ready for Bernie Sanders?
Vermont’s independent senator is scheduled to appear in those first-in-the-nation presidential states, starting this Thursday in South Carolina and Sept. 13-14 in Iowa.
Sanders, who doesn’t shy away from the “Democratic socialist” label, is considering a 2016 presidential race and traveling the country talking about wealth and income inequality. “If we don’t deal with this issue, we are not going to have a middle class in this country,” Sanders said in a video message for the Iowa AFL-CIO annual meeting.
The video was included in a schedule sent out by Sanders’ political operation, which notes that he’ll also be in North Carolina and Mississippi this week.
I fear that his use of the word "socialist" will cause conservatives to shit their intestines out of their ass.

it will be hilarious
Bernie Sanders is one of the few good Senators left.
Holy shit... A politician saying things I agree with.
wait a second

Ah, ok. I still agree with what he is prioritizing, but the campaigning thing puts it in perspective.

He didn't change his tune just for the presidential race, he's been pretty consistent throughout his time as a Senator. Plus he's been the longest running independent in America.
I vote for him each time I see him on the ballot, so call me biased.

Bernie is a straight forward guy. Even when he wasn't considering a presidential bid he spoke out like this. He is just trying his best now to be heard.
But presidential elections aren't for another couple years, what's with this rush?

Better to start getting people on your side, I assume. Especially in states that primarily vote Republican. As he leans Democrat.
Bernie is a painfully honest person, how he'd ever become president is beyond me
That being said I hope him running forces attention on important issues
It's about time economically left leaning politicians (and not just gun banning nuts) started getting places in politics. If this guy wins a presidential bid it could change politics in this country forever. I have a bad feeling that the collective cowardice of the democratic party will be his undoing and cause him to lose the primary to another globally-middle-right-winger like Hilary.

People who start a year or two ahead usually quit long before the rest even start though, due to not having enough funds to continue into the actual primaries.

True, however he's done pretty good for himself since he does a lot of campaigning through social media, (i.e, facebook, twitter). He has been featured on a few shows, which have gained him popularity. He has a growing amount of followers from what I have seen.
Plus he is anti-PAC. Though that doesn't help him and funding. I think most of it is done through donations, merchandise, and out of pocket.

It's sad that I don't think he'll get far without a PAC as much as I like him for that.
Time to get the Colbert Super PAC up and running for him then.

Yeah that's a good example of part of the shambles the political industry in the US has ended up making for itself
