You can play all of these on the Halo Forge PC version I think, too.
I'm a sucker for death run maps
This video's convinced me pretty well to re-download the Halo 5 Forge stuff and get my friend who finally got a new pc to play with me. he's a huge halo fan and he didn't even know it existed somehow
Why don't yall download Eldewrito as well?
Last time I tried it wouldn't work no matter what I tried, but I figure I might as well grab it again.
Why don't yall download Eldewrito as well?
I mean it's a buggy, literally hacked-together solution. Might as well stick with Halo 5 Forge.
I guess he doesn't know of Halo Custom Edition (aka Halo CE). Customizing has always been there. But I hate M$ for sticking multiplayer behind a paywall on Xbox.
Halo CE was the best back in the day for custom content.
You can play all of these on the Halo Forge PC version I think, too.
The first thing I played on Halo 5's Forge on PC was a remake of the Warthog Run from Halo 3. The fact that it had the collapsing environment was a great preview of the power of Forge. It's definitely come a long way from me screwing around with it with friends on Sandtrap in Halo 3.
Halo CE was the best back in the day for custom content.
what surprises me is that the majority of the fanbase are still young kids like I was when I used to play it. I would've thought that anyone who played it when it was at it's most popular would've grown up by now
Man, I wish I had an Xbox One/Windows 10 computer so that I could fuck around with this.
I'm going to assume things have changed, when I tried Halo 5 Forge on PC 6ish months ago there were literally 50 other people playing, at most. Finding a decent server was almost impossible.
I didn't find it like that. The menu system is a little rough but the gameplay and performance seems almost complete.
I mean, it's still fun and playable for sure but I only played it at the time because it was the only modern Halo game on PC. Also, when I said it's hacked together I didn't mean it in a pejorative way; it's literally the result of a hack (an impressive one for sure though).
Halo CE was the best back in the day for custom content.
http://halomaps.org/ I am shocked that to this day, this site is still active and people are still pumping out content to host on it. I still fire up Halo PC once in awhile, I should really get CE on here and try it out again. I wonder if Coldsnap is still a popular map.
