WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — President Trump said Thursday that he believes Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel in the Russia investigation, will treat him fairly, contradicting some members of his party who have waged a weekslong campaign to try to discredit Mr. Mueller and the continuing inquiry.
During an impromptu 30-minute interview with The New York Times at his golf club in West Palm Beach, the president did not demand an end to the Russia investigations swirling around his administration, but insisted 16 times that there has been “no collusion” discovered by the inquiry.
“It makes the country look very bad, and it puts the country in a very bad position,” Mr. Trump said of the investigation. “So the sooner it’s worked out, the better it is for the country.”
Asked whether he would order the Justice Department to reopen the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails, Mr. Trump appeared to remain focused on the Russia investigation.
“I have absolute right to do what I want to do with the Justice Department,” he said, echoing claims by his supporters that as president he has the power to open or end an investigation. “But for purposes of hopefully thinking I’m going to be treated fairly, I’ve stayed uninvolved with this particular matter.”
Also with china
Hours after he accused the Chinese of secretly shipping oil to North Korea, Mr. Trump explicitly said for the first time that he has “been soft” on China on trade in the hopes that its leaders will pressure North Korea to abandon its nuclear weapons program.
He hinted that his patience may soon end, however, signaling his frustration with the reported oil shipments.
“Oil is going into North Korea. That wasn’t my deal!” he exclaimed, raising the possibility of aggressive trade actions against China. “If they don’t help us with North Korea, then I do what I’ve always said I want to do.”
Despite saying that when he visited China in November, President Xi Jinping “treated me better than anybody’s ever been treated in the history of China,” Mr. Trump said that “they have to help us much more.”
“We have a nuclear menace out there, which is no good for China,” he said.
YOU make us look bad you fucking orangutan
The investigation is the system of balance working, it makes us look better to deal with problems that merely allow them to exist.

It's almost like they were playing you Mr. President.
Well I mean he's not wrong. It does make us look bad. Because of Trump. This bullshit should never have even managed to happen to begin with.
I love all the subtle dismissals of position that I'm seeing in articles about Trumpo at the moment. Calling him Mr Trump instead of President Trump, etc.

personally i have never put his name and that title next to each other in the same sentence. he doesn't deserve the honor.

the best one was a couple of days ago where one article just labeled him as "ex-reality TV star Donald Trump"
“So the sooner it’s worked out, the better it is for the country.”
He's not wrong there.
Lock him up.

I found that to be the best one, and I did a thing to fix it:

Posted in a previous thread to pretty good reception. It definitely makes reading Polidicks much more fun.
Fucked up priorities
What he's actually saying is that it makes HIM look bad. He already fired Comey over the investigation creating bad pr for him and refusing to end when demanded.
Being a narcissist means being predictable as fuck.

Every time Trump says something like this, it makes me realize how unhuman he is. He's like a caricature whose only character traits are being rich and successful and constantly flaunting that.
If anything, the sooner Mueller comes to lay the smackdown on this clown, the better off the US is. Trump obviously has no trouble ruining decades of diplomatic efforts to make himself look good to his retarded fanbase and to vindicate his childlike desire for recognition so fuck it, stack the flames so high, not a single goddamn being on this planet will fail to see what has happened and will forever loathe the consequences and damn all who don't heed the warnings.

Does it replace all cases of "President" or only "President Trump"? Because a lot of countries have presidents, but only one that I know of is a former reality TV star.

Best part is the "in the history of china" bit.
I'm almost entirely certain that high level visitors to China used to get like, truckloads of gold, slaves, and week-long orgies arranged for them. Trump got a handshake and, a few months later, Xi's 1 billion strong country's dick in his ass.

It does all instances currently, which made a Putin article pretty funny. I'll be updating it soon to only match the real former reality TV star.

By saying that he's also comparing the treatment he got to the treatment gotten for example by every emperor in China, who probably are the most extravagantly treated people in the entire world's history.
So staggeringly ignorant
Note this quote:
“I have absolute right to do what I want to do with the Justice Department,” he said, echoing claims by his supporters that as president he has the power to open or end an investigation. “But for purposes of hopefully thinking I’m going to be treated fairly, I’ve stayed uninvolved with this particular matter.”

That should be concerning to every single person in the United States. He is stating, explicitly, that if the Justice Department doesn't drop the investigation into him that he will take action to dismantle their authority.
As a note, he absolutely does not have an "absolute right" to do this, but in so stating he is making a statement that the law haw no power over him, and that the checks and balances of our system no longer apply. Pay close attention to anybody in the GOP who backs this statement, because they are openly supporting the destruction of the very foundation of our government to seize power.
Indivisible and several other groups have already launched a joint organisational effort for rapid response rallies across the US if Mueller is fired
https://act.moveon.org/event/mueller-firing-rapid-response-events/search/
Rallies will begin hours after news breaks of a Mueller firing:
If Mueller is fired BEFORE 2 P.M. local time —> events will begin @ 5 P.M. local time
If Mueller is fired AFTER 2 P.M. local time —> events will begin @ noon local time the following day
This is the general plan—please confirm details on your event page, as individual hosts may tailor their events to their local plan.
It really does seem that the risk of Mueller being christmas-fired are dropping with the latest statements from various people in power and the shift in tactic from the GOP to throw Flynn even harder under the bus than already happening; though with how erratic and short-sighted Trump's personal leadership has been, this information could be outdated by the time I scroll down to hit 'post'.

McConnell and Schumer have arranged to keep the Senate from officially going into recess over the holiday, preventing Trump from being able to bypass Senate confirmation by making recess appointments -- including a replacement DOJ head who'd be willing to fire Mueller. This same thing was done over the summer to prevent Trump from making recess appointments then.

That's kind of it, actually. Session is opened for like three minutes in an empty room and then shut down again, and doing that every few days counts enough for the Senate to remain active such that Trump can't make recess appointments.

Guess it's pretty self explanatory, guess I posted for the zing lol.
