James Hetfield, lead singer and guitarist for the heavy metal band Metallica, makes a straight-forward appeal for help in finding a fan's killer in a new public service ad produced for the FBI, Virginia and local law enforcement agencies. Morgan Harrington, 20, was last seen alive on Oct. 17, 2009, when she left a Metallica concert at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. As the FBI writes, "her remains were discovered the following January in a remote field on a farm in Albemarle County, Va." Since then, DNA evidence has linked her murder to an unknown suspect in a September 2005 sexual assault in Fairfax, Va. Along with the Hetfield video, authorities today released "enhanced" composite sketches of the suspect in that 2005 sexual assault. There's a reward of up to $150,000 — $50,000 of it from Metallica — for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Harrington's murder. "Remember, any information — no matter how small you might think it is — could be that crucial piece investigators need to help solve the case," Hetfield says in the new PSA.
Source: NPR - June 13th, 2012 The PSA, uploaded by the Virginia State Police. Shame... God some people are fucked up to end others lives.
Wow, James is looking old as hell, my dad is older than him and looks younger. Anyways, her family must be honored that he personally made a PSA for her.
And justice for all...except her so far.
Will they hunt him down without mercy?
Wow, James is looking old as hell, my dad is older than him and looks younger. Anyways, her family must be honored that he personally made a PSA for her.
Touring would be stressful and take a lot out of him.
Will they hunt him down without mercy?
They'll probably hunt the fucker down all nightmare long. I remember reading about this case when it was first published in the news. I was kind of hoping they caught the fucker, but apparently not.
Will they hunt him down without mercy?
They'll definitely be the Unforgiven. I just hope catching them isn't The Day that Never Comes. Here's hoping we can Turn the Page and close this case though.
I bet it was the table.

That sketch is like the most generic black guy sketch I've ever seen, I know like five people that fits that thing :v:

How nice of Hetfield & Co. Damn shame they can't play for shit anymore, though.
How nice of Hetfield & Co. Damn shame they can't play for shit anymore, though.
How relevant
My steam name is Irk Hammock. On topic: James Hetfield is fucking awesome.
?
That sketch looks so odd, it's almost like the faces you'd find in a Jagged Alliance game. "Just tell me who to kill, boss."

That's nice to see that they really care.
Lord Het rules.
the table really is a kind man.
It's a shame metallica has been sucking recently. They're legends and they're destroying it with their terrible new music.
What a guy, huge respect for James Hetfield. Shame the trolls that have to resort to talking about their music. That's a completely different story.
I really liked Death Magnetic, Lulu kind of sucked. Glad to see he cares though, most bands wouldn't.
How nice of Hetfield & Co. Damn shame they can't play for shit anymore, though.
You think so? I've seen them twice in the past couple years and both shows were pretty damn good.
There's a reward of up to $150,000 — $50,000 of it from Metallica
That's awesome of them.
It's a shame metallica has been sucking recently. They're legends and they're destroying it with their terrible new music.
Yeah, fuck them for playing something that they themselves want to play instead of what others want them to play!
I used to live in the town where she was abducted from and the Metallica concert was. Needless to say everybody was shocked and heartbroken when she was reported missing. Pretty much every business in town had posters saying 'Find Morgan Harrington' up and her face was plastered everywhere around town. There were also countless Facebook groups set up for finding her and she was on the local news pretty much every night. It was a huge tragedy when they found her remains but at least her parents knew that she wasn't suffering anymore. Her mother even said 'she had beautiful bones' when they went in to identify her remains.
How nice of Hetfield & Co. Damn shame they can't play for shit anymore, though.
Have you watched any of their recent concerts? They're fucking amazing.
How nice of Hetfield & Co. Damn shame they can't play for shit anymore, though.
I went to see them at Sonisphere little over a week ago, they can still bloody well play. They just write different songs. I do prefer their early days, but they still know their arse from their elbows, and an amp from a meringue.
