Around 43 percent of Israeli Jews support government policies to encourage Palestinians to emigrate from Israel, according to the study.
Fook, District 9 was just playing on TV.
I noticed some similarities.

the powers of brainwashing
This sounds pretty similar to something that happened 70 years ago.
Isolation and a siege mentality is a bitch, we have to deal with the exact same thing in Northern Ireland.
Sixty-one percent of both Jewish and Palestinian Israelis feel that they have "little or no ability to influence government decisions."
Genuine Palestinian grievances, Israeli persecution complex.
How the tables have turned.
Fear the Zog.
this is what happens when israeli children are basically taught to hate arabs in general.
The report says that Israeli and Palestinian teachers both portray their neighbours as enemies, though Israel does so considerably less. After ploughing through nearly 30,000 pages of text, the researchers found that 49% of texts dealing with Palestinians in Israeli state-issued schoolbooks are negative; in government-funded Orthodox Jewish academies the figure rises to 73%. One such textbook depicts Arabs as “bloodthirsty” and “a nest of murderers”.
In Palestinian textbooks 84% of the references to Israelis are negative. In both Palestinians and Israeli state schools the books promote “martyrdom-sacrifice through death”. Each side glorifies itself, while denigrating the other.

the palestinians do it too through.
How the tables have turned.
it would only apply if jewish people were taking over europe or something through :v:
also lets be honest here, the only way this will end is either by the israeli pushing too much into palestinian territory(therefore making it impossible for them to live there, and likely causing some huge backlash and escalating to insane degree, and then forcing the UN(and the US) to intervene, or if the US stops supporting israel, and allowing the UN to intervene).
considering the ammount of assholes in israeli goverment, all you need is for one that is slightly off his rocker to get in charge.
I really wish they linked the actual study. I'm sure the questions were about specific rights and I would love to know what they were.

You mean that has been happening for a long long time
Two peoples that have been at eachothers throats for the past century hold resentment towards one another.
What is even the point of studies like these, if you did the same thing in Palestine you'd get the same results. And don't even give me none of that bullshit about who has more of a "moral reason" to discriminate, that's exactly the type of rhetoric that started this mess and is exactly why we're still in it a century later.

I don't believe the two are comparable. Arabs in Israel are legitimate Israeli citizens, many of their families were already living in Palestine before the influx of European and Russian immigration created what is now Israel. On the contrary the vast majority of Israelis in the Palestinian occupied territories are illegal settlers who have been subsidized to squat on private and public Palestinian property.
oy vey, it's another shoah

You can't have peace and at the same time be trying to hold international law offenders responsible for their actions. The two goals will get in eachothers way and neither of them will ever be reached.
There'll be plenty of time to attribute blame later. Right now we need to focus on gaining peace and the absolute minimum you could do is try and be as neutral as possible about this whole clusterfuck because neither side here wants to go on like this for shits and giggles, neither the IDF or the Hamas strike targets because they're bored or 'evil', but rather because it's probably done in the name of revenge or retribution. Just a vicious, never-ending cycle of hate where nothing ever gets fixed and the dead just keep piling up.
Didn't an Israeli user here once say there wasn't such a thing as an innocent Palestinian?

Most likely, but doesn't mean he represents his entire country.
I'm pretty sure there's at least several people in every country that would say, "There's no such thing as nationality X"

Yeah but the Palestinians aren't going in and occupying territory they have no right to, are they?

If they did I wouldn't be surprised, most Israelis are taught from a young age that a lot of people in the world are out to get them.

At 18:28, three Polish men are sitting on a bench and say hello to the two Israeli girls on a field trip in the country. Afterwards, one of the Israeli girls said that the polish men were calling them monkeys and donkeys and that they almost got into a fight, when in fact the polish men just didn't understand Hebrew and were trying to say hi.

yeah he was a real psycho, last post he ever made was him saying he was going to go join the IDF or something. who knows, maybe he's already made the news
And all I can say is 'sigh'.

muslims live in a broken-down spaceship above israel
That's just what we need, more discrimination. *sarcasm* And the Nazis started out with similar ideas; from then on it just grew and grew.
A lot of developed countries have worked very hard to get non-discriminative legislation, and now people want this thrown away. It's a shame. :(
This is exactly the reason why I say fuck Israel.
If they did I wouldn't be surprised, most Israelis are taught from a young age that a lot of people in the world are out to get them.
Well for much of world history there has been a strong effort by many countries to answer the "Jewish question". Most of them through extreme discrimination and genocide.
When a group of people feels that for centuries on end, its expected that they think a lot of people still hate them. (Given the prevalence of antisemitism even today).
This is exactly the reason why I say fuck Israel.
brilliant
The antisemitism in this thread is baffling, especially considering that it's in reaction to what is essentially the daily mail of news sources from that region.

yer but as they say.
"herp if you dislike what israel does you are clearly a nazi anti-semite Palestinian."
If it was another other state doing this sort of thing then something would have been done a long time ago.
