It's a standalone game on the SAGE engine.
Those particles, dem textures, dat sound, dat rendering, skybox, view distance... so early 2000-ish

the SAGE engine IS the renegade engine. This was initially a renegade mod but the team managed to get permission from EA to make it standalone cause they don't really give a shit about C&C anymore.
Regardless of how it looks, it looks like it'd be extremely fun and entertaining to play.

C&C Renegade's multiplayer is the most fun I've had in an online game.
So this is basically a total conversion mod of C&C Renegade? Fucking awesome, I loved that game, especially the multiplayer, so many hours wasted on that.
