A YOUNG man studying architecture at a prestigious French college has become one of North Korea’s most wanted fugitives after thwarting a kidnap attempt by agents sent to force him home. He was one of 10 North Koreans hand-picked by Kim Jong-un in 2012 to take a five-year course at the famed Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Architecture de Paris-La Villette as part of a cultural and economic exchange between the two countries.
http://www.news.com.au/world/son-of-north-korean-dictator-kim-jong-uns-executed-uncle-on-the-run-in-paris-after-kidnap-attempt/story-fndir2ev-1227172001650
I hope he doesn't get executed as well.
cultural and economic exchange between the two countries.
My arse
I hope he doesn't get executed as well.
Theres only one way for him not to be executed. Escape
Run as far as you can, change your name, seek asylum in the Americas or something. I feel bad for the guy.
Holy shit that must be scary as fuck.
This sounds like Taken the movie. Except korean
How do the French feel about Korean 'agents' in their country? I'm surprised they haven't sent a strongly worded letter yet. No but seriously, surely our governments don't stand by and grumble when faced with reports of foreign secret operations in their country.
I figure he must know something about the inner workings of the regime. I', sure plenty of governments will trade that for asylum and citizenship.
doubt he has any wishes to go home after what happened to his father
This sounds like Taken the movie. Except korean
It's called Oldboy
if I were him I would find a police station or embassy and lay low for a while
His dad.
woops my mind mixed things up
To be fair, I can't imagine North Korea has that many fugitives. They're hardly going to have many big-name criminals over there.
When they say exchange I hope they didn't send French students to North Korea too.
Why do you guys keep demonizing NK? It's very possibly he is wanted for some heinous crime in the country, and you should let them deal with this kind of stuff. I feel France is just doing this for the sake of being anti-NK.

North Korea is kind of one of those countries which deserves to be demonised- or at least its government does.

He will be executed or sent to a salt mine/concentration camp for the rest of his life.
I'm not sure what's worse, the fact that the kid was handpicked for foreign schooling and now they're trying to execute him, or the fact that North Korea sent agents to France to kidnap the kid.

That is such a long ass name, both for the thread and the actual article. Why not just say "Kim Jong-un's Cousin on the run"? :v:
