The company behind Firefox has decided to showcase the power of HTML 5 with a free, online fantasy RPG featuring Portals, Nyan Cat, and Risk Astley.
If you don't hate internet-flavored pop culture humor, and enjoy any excuse to wail on ogres with a magic mace, then there are worse ways to spend an hour than firing up Mozilla's new pixel-painted MMO, Browser Quest. The game is available to play for free here, and as you may have already inferred, is completely browser-based, meaning you don't have to sit through any downloads or installs before you can get started. That also means that it can play on most things with internet access, including tablets and smart phones.
Why
To prove that HTML5 can do multiplayer games.

To prove just how far the internet has fallen.
I really dislike it when people just straight up hate memes like the ones above.
I dunno, I think I'm the only one who loves memes if they're properly used
I'm trying this now. Sounds fun.
Within 2 minutes it froze for me, woohoo! But yeah not really inspired to play a game filled with Nyan Cat or Rick Astley...
I finished the story. I need to get some achievements though.
I got the best armour and weapons in the game 15 minutes in lol
Well, it's an interesting idea, and their choice of memes could've been worse.

I used to play browser games, but then I took an...nevermind.
It's really short.
It's a test to show that HTML5 can support multiplayer.
I cant even connect.
Took like 5 minutes to get to/kill the end boss, kinda neat little game though.
Already beat it. That was fast.

this is actually pretty neat.

Memes aren't exactly the most easy thing to make, funniness is semi-rare

And I'm the one who hates fads because nobody can think up an intelligent joke by themselves without using someone else's.
