Michael Christian was a joint winner of the company's Australia-wide Next Top Jock competition, which was awarded with a trip to Los Angeles. Competitors put forward their best radio segments and were judged by a leadership group. Christian said in a statement yesterday that despite the storm of controversy over the royal phone prank, he still feels at "the top of my game". "From the start I felt like I had something to prove to myself. That regardless of all that's happened in the past few months I'm still at the top of my game." Last December he and former 2DayFM co-host Mel Greig called the London hospital where Kate Middleton was being treated for morning sickness, then used hammy impressions of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles to trick a nurse into transferring their call to the nurse looking after the Duchess.
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/entertainment/2013/06/05/08/20/co-host-involved-in-royal-phone-prank-wins-dj-of-the-year
Would be even more great if he won a trip to england.
Would be even more great if he won a trip to england.
Met the queen
It's kind of sad that he'll forever be known as "one of the radio hosts behind the royal phone prank scandal".
I'm amazed that at this point there are still people who blame the nurses suicide on them, do they just not know the story, don't care or do they just want to blame them?
Would be even more great if he won a trip to england.
And to be never heard of again as he gets secretly assasinated by the Queen's orders.
i never liked those two. they were both quite stupid (not exactly what they did, they were just pretty uneducated) - however the show that replaces them is a bit bland, so no one wins really

The whole prank call scandal was blown out of proportion. They didn't do anything to deserve all the shit they got, yeah they may have caused someone's death but the woman who killed herself must have already had some underlying mental health issues, nobody kills their self over a harmless prank call.
