First Episode of Corridor Digital's Lifeline

The rest are on Youtube Red: https://www.youtube.com/user/CorridorDigital/videos
I can't get over how bad their timetravel logic is. I wish I could because it seems interesting, but I can't suspend my disbelief that much.
If they can already get information from the future that should already allow them to change the future, they wouldn't need a one-way timemachine (also called "waiting"). Except they say that the future can't be changed. Then how the fuck can they change the future if they arrive a few minutes before the death instead of 33 days earlier?? Oh wait, they claim it creates a new timeline? But then the agent would disappear from the show's timeline and never appear again and their client would die anyway (in the show's timeline).
I didn't continue watching after that botched explanation. If it makes more sense later on please tell me and I'll continue watching the show.
I haven't seen Zach Gilford in anything since Friday Night Lights.
YouTube Red isn't even available here so I can't continue watching past the first one :frown:

Yeah, this really bothered me too. It makes no sense for this company to even exist if their time travel method involves jumping into a different timeline. Every single one of their clients would die in the original timeline and the service wouldn't appear to be saving anyone.
I've watched a couple more episodes and it actually seems pretty good. But I did have to just completely ignore that whole timeline bit, because otherwise the entire show makes no sense.
Also the jumping forward instead of just waiting thing kinda makes sense if you think about it like, they want to have confirmation that the client has been saved rather than waiting until the time comes and only having one shot at it. I don't know if that's the actual reasoning, but it makes sense to me that way.

In the original timeline, someone from another timeline was sent into their timeline, saving their clients.
