how the fuck can people even think that that is that ancient jew armor?
I certainly don't.

Sadly tons of people on reddit are "naw man what are you dumb how could that possibly be true clearly that is just the armor"
and then they post the armor which doesn't even look slightly like that
At that point in the story it is most CERTAINLY a bodyswap.
Any scene showing the weird cylinder things jabbing out of his shoulders is obviously ancient jew armor.
Plus I think that hybrid monkey cat in the prologue (and first trailer) was meant to be foreshadowing.
Can't help but think the game is victim to the "show too much in the trailer" issue that games and especially films are falling trap to these days.
Those facial animations look kinda meh. Still below HL2 level IMO.
The body swap thing could've been a pretty big plot-twist if they kept it hidden, but there is a question raised. When and why did this swap happen? In the beginning intro right before the wheelchair killing spree, he had some gnarly scars on his chest from the ending of TNO. Was it a move by Set Roth to try and get him compatible with the HEV suit after it was damaged from the Supersoldaten's removal from Caroline? Did Blazko get absolutely fucked by a Panzerhund and need it? Did Frau Engel orchestrate it to torture him? There are a bunch of different possibilities and so far none are really capable of being better explanations than the other.

So did they just throw his old body into a river or something.
Getting the impression this communist guy is going to end up being a villain at some point.

Maybe they put Hitler's head onto it and make it the final boss.

Probably. [sp]According to Set in the first mission, his current body falling apart, his kidneys are failing and his cock doesn't work any more[/sp] so even if he did use the suit, it probably wouldn't keep him alive.
Considering the massive damage he took it shouldn't be surprising that he was bound for death tbh
