Video producer Adam Quirk is collecting funds for a project that will make BP feel the pain of their oil catastrophe. The producer plans on buying 100 vuvuzelas to blow outside BP's international headquarters in London for a one-day mob protest. The goal is to exact revenge on BP for their unresolved blunders. Vuvuzelas are the recently famous horns heard during games at the World Cup in South Africa. Many world cup fans have complained about the horns, which give off a loud, often annoying, buzzing sound. Cup officials have backed the horns, saying they are a part of South African culture and will be allowed at all matches. Quirk's plan is to raise $1000 in order to purchase 100 vuvuzelas for the event. The remainder of the funds will be used to hire security to manage the crowds. The fundraiser will also donate at least $1000 to the Gulf Disaster Fund. So far though, nearly $4000 has been raised doubling the original goal. Quirk posts on Kickstarter.com that the protest is meant solely to bring negative attention on BP. "I know this (vuvuzela protest) isn't going to change anything, but it will draw attention back to BP after the inevitable 24hr news cycle finds some celebrity sex scandal to distract us with," says Quirk. The protest is being called the Dynamic Vuvuzela Deployment Operation 2010!The date and time of the event are not being made public.
These people deserve medals.
Oh god, I got to help with that.
IRL trolling is fun. (:
That's a cruel and unusual punishment.
Probably they'll get forced to go away by the police for being a noisy nuisance.
Herp Derp....Facepunch can't math :downs:
What do you mean? All math in this thread has been correct. The only controversy is over the interpretation of the article, since it's not written very clearly. But that has nothing to do with math.

Well, I guess they're off to blow some hot air at BP. It should really be a blast
While you're at it, pack yourself a pair of these
What exactly are they hoping to achieve in doing this?
And what do they hope to do? Get a hoover and clean up the spill himself?

Let's bring the buzz on BP with Vuvuzela. While they are at it, someone play a clarinet [editline]11:26PM[/editline] Would it help if someone donate on behalf of their cause?
I immediately thought of this after reading the article
