A minvan carrying a mother and three children was swept into the Daytona Beach surf Tuesday, prompting beachgoers to rush through the 4-foot waves to rescue the passengers as the vehicle took on water and the youngsters screamed for help.
Beach safety officers and beachgoers are seen rushing to pull from the minivan a boy, two girls and the woman, opening the trunk to help get inside. One of the children, a toddler, was strapped in a car seat. None of the children suffered serious injuries. All three and the mother were taken to a hospital, the Sheriff’s Department said.
A beach patrol spokeswoman told reporters Tuesday that the woman was pregnant and "incoherent."

But the woman just kept saying, "We're OK. We're OK. We're OK," as another man joined Tesseneer trying to get the driver to stop.
Then she mashed the accelerator, turned left and shot into the cold, heavy surf of the Atlantic Ocean touching the shore of the Florida city.
It was now a battle against the pull of the water, and the second man, Stacy Robinson, opened a door and pulled out the two panicked children.
There was a good chance if he and Tesseneer hadn't been there, the children, ages 10 and 9, would have drowned inside the van as it pitched in the water, officials said.
Apparently, She was in a hospital for treatment and managed to sign herself out. Then this happen a few hours later.
And now she isn't going to be charged.

this woman's off her rocker if i've ever seen one
the only time where i'd advocate child services
I swear this was posted already. Regardless, this woman is horrible
How horrible do you have to be to do that to your children? I hope she gets whatever help she needs.
Also, I already posted about this.
Guys, the woman was being held for treatment and somehow managed to sign herself out.
While of course the attempted murder of your own children is nothing to shake a stick at but Postpartum Depression is very fucking serious. She's probably severely imbalanced.

This isn't post-partum though, she is pregnant. This is prenatal but still.

I was like "holy shit this is the most vivid déjà vu I have ever had what the fuck"

Yeah, it's Antenatal depression, still very fucking serious. The incredible mood swings, hormone changes, pain and stress can drive a pregnant woman literally insane. It's a shame this happened, but thankfully no one got seriously hurt.
See, this why you drive a diesel. They'll give you that ocean-based murder-suicide action that petrol just can't compete with.
The title says SUV but the article stays minivan.
Probably the hormones.
Why does shit keep happening at Daytona beach.
Fuck I wan't to go on vacation there but I don't know anymore.

There is very little if any difference between them, it all comes down to advertising.
From what I've seen a suv basically a more expensive minivan.
Why is it always Florida?

uhm, so if a parent is beating the shit out of their child or literally torturing them, you wouldn't be an advocate of child services taking those children away?

I'd like it better here if they put a good 1/3 of the state's populating in a fucking asylum

There is a big difference between an suv and a minivan
Edit;
To expand on this;
These days, they are becoming closer. However, they still have clear differences.
A minivan is made to carry as many people as possible. Usually front wheel drive with an automatic.
An SUV is aimed more towards being an offroad vehicle that is still nice on the road. Most are four wheel drive with an option between auto and manual transmissions
Here is an example of a modern minivan;

Hell yeah! An SUV is a fat station wagon. A minivan is a van after gastric bypass surgery.

Can you wait for me to move out first
Also let me pack up Disney World
Here's an image of it, taken from the thread I made:

It looks like that guy in the white shirt is telling the guy in the red "You're gonna need a bigger rope, lol".
this woman is horrible
What she did was horrible, but these kind of mindsets are why people don't seek and stay in treatment for mental illness - especially pregnant women and mothers, who everyone just assumes are overflowing with love and compassion and are afraid to admit that they might not be
