Its coming! I wonder what you fellow Americans are doing? Here's a small bit of history:
Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, political speeches and ceremonies, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Independence Day is the national day of the United States. Also, why doesn't the USA have National Day Celebrations showcasing their military and shit? Nearly every other country does it. And I've always been thinking, what If USA never gained independence? How different it will be from the modern day. Having Union flags instead. Also, I know the day isn't up yet. AND I WILL BE UPDATING THE OP.
I always love going out to see the fireworks they have at our local park, sadly the mosquitos are fucking CRAZY every year.
I'm not doing any fireworks this year. :(
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1439918/fun.JPG[/img_thumb]
this is my 4th of july Most of them are illegal in my state, but I recently bought a HD camcorder and will record my night and the police when they show up. I will then proceed to post it.
I believe the fourth of july can be summed into two words:
I'm pretty sure all you guys do is make fireworks and eat. Also, why doesn't the USA have National Day Celebrations showcasing their military and shit?
this is my 4th of july
how much did all of that cost? i barely got shit last year and ended up spending around 50$
Well OP, all of the US's military is away in the middle east. And as for me, fireworks are illegal in DC, but firecrackers and fountains and whatnot are not, and my family has a big backyard... So were going to have some fun with that... Already bought about 70$ worth of fountains and such. I don't care about US's country holidays much, but its a great excuse to blow stuff up. In a colorful way also!

I'm going to my best friends house for 4th of July! :buddy:
indiana rules, it's always piss easy to get fireworks and they're usually cheap too. probably gonna buy myself a ton of aerials and fountains this year. also people from illinois have to run over here to get their fireworks, heheh.
Some Dude: Fireworks? Me:Fuck yeah I call the fire crackers.
Today is Canada Day Too bad it's no where as exciting as 4th of July
Also, no one goes to bars/clubs to party?
4 of July is best of July
Erm, National Guard?
Nope, federalized them and sent them too. Y'know, defeating the entire purpose of the national guard.
I don't think my local news gives a shit about USA.
I guess that joke doesn't really work outside of the US. Hm.
Gotta go to a different state to buy fireworks because this state doesn't allow 'em.
If TexASS was not so gay and hot all the time, i would blow off fireworks but noooooo "ATTENTION TEXAS ERRY COUNTY IS UNDER A BURN-BAN THANK YOU"
I'm going to fap and listen to the fireworks down the street. Happy Fourth of July...
I want to set something on fire. What should I set on fire?
I want to set something on fire. What should I set on fire?
yourself
I can't wait for July 4th.
My family won't be buying fireworks because we're poor. :smith:
I'm going to be drinking on a beach for 4th of July :smug:
My base already had their fireworks show. Was pretty good. Although I was in my dorm room on base when it started (Yesterday, the 30th) and all I heard was huge booming (since they launch/explode 2 blocks away) it sounded like we were getting mortared or some shit. I had NO idea what was going on. (Why am I getting mortared in some random poor city in NC?!) It was a good show though. ...And apparently I thought June had 31 days but that's what I get for not checking a calendar.
yourself
MEEEAAAANNN............... Also I've burned some stuff in my time (pyromaniac :byodood:) And a fun thing is get a cardboard paper towel role, you know when you run out of the paper stuff and that cardboard tube is in the middle? Yeah that, then put some Popsicle sticks and paper and such in it, put some matches on the top, set those aflame and it makes a torch kinda thing. It was cool to watch when I did it...
this is my 4th of july
you lucky bastard, non-professional fireworks are illegal in new york
I never was a huge fan of the 4th, but my brother is :v: He made his own fireworks which are admittedly a pretty sight :3:
