(4K - 60fps)
Looking forward to this.
I'm still not 100% on board. The world looks absolutely gorgeous, but from what I've seen the world is more or less just the level selection menu and the actual gameplay is a simple 2D puzzle where you have to move a line through a maze. I really hope my impression is wrong, but until they show actual gameplay outside of this weird 2D minigame I remain skeptical.
Looks cool. Though I'd really like to play it with an occulus.

looks like it's supposed to be a 'walking simulator' where you use the 2d minigames to progress. while i wouldn't mind that game, it would be a pretty relaxing experience, i hope there's more too it as well.

This is basically a modern Myst
Which is awesome if you are a fan of Myst
Trailer looked pretty cool IMO, loved the music too. We'll see if its something I have patience for still. I was a big fan of Myst back in the day but I really don't know if I'd be able to handle it now. Especially since this seems like a game you cannot play in small chunks or take a break on and come back to without being completely in the dark (how I play typically play games now).

This is not the song in the trailer, but it's same artist and from same album.

Oh nvm, the song is "Escape Artist" from the same album. Says in the description!

I think there is supposed to be. If you've played braid you kind of know his design style - more to it than meets the eye, wants to fully explore a mechanic/concept without having any fluff, etc.
He has in previous interviews also said that there is a big element of figuring out what is going on period beyond the moment to moment puzzles, in a way that seems to imply there is way more to it than just "oh where did all the people go lol" and "time to connect the dots"
As far as I can retell from an article I read, the actual world is used to find the solutions to the 2D puzzles. Like you have to explore and observe shit to find patterns that correlate to the puzzle.
Having played through The Talos Principle, I'm looking forward to see if this game can compete with it. Because that game was dope.

Ya all the line drawing seems to deal with the actual 3D shit in front of you.
That said, thats a pretty cheap way of coming up with unique puzzles for the surrounding environment. Not to say its gonna be shit, but lets face it, if thats all it is its pretty cheap, at least Myst and shit had unique puzzles and looks for pretty much everything. Theirs nothing else to compare this too really aside from Myst or games like it.
I do like how it seems to be legit open world and solving puzzles throughout will matter to a single thing.
