Crackers are good, there is no doubt about that.
You all come so perfectly in your different compartments, and you taunt me with your delicious grains and curious holes. Some prefer only a certain kind of you, and those people are dumb. For they do not recognize that all crackers are created equally under the eyes of Man. They all have different tastes, but you see, they all taste delicious. Unfortunately, some people do not see the beauty in all of you and have decided to segregate you from their diet, or their life!
I have a dream, that one day all crackers will unite as one. When boxes will be labeled "crackers" with several different types inside. It's sad to see all of you split apart in compartments like this, for when you are on my plate, holding hands, the world just seems right. I can see when I look in your eyes, 7-grain, that you were just meant to be sitting beside stone-ground. And you, my sweet sweet cracker, with all your sweet crackerness, you were just made to be beside cracked pepper cracker. You're all beautiful, beautiful crackers, it pains me to see you seperated from the ones you love.

The holes allow the heat to flow through the dough creating the cracker's hard texture
**Without the holes the cracker would puff up. The holes allow steam to escape during baking.
Holes are in 'soda-saltine' crackers so that the heat can bake then faster and more evenly, making it cheaper to produce them. Remember, not all crackers have holes.
