A Manchester City fan has become so convinced that his team will win the FA Cup this weekend that he's had a tattoo of the trophy drawn on his back.
Super-confident Craig Reed, 29, spent three hours having the picture of the cup etched below his shoulder blades along with the slogan 'Manchester City, FA Cup winners 2011'.
He's sure that his team will win against Stoke despite Man City not having won a major trophy for 35 years.
The pipe fitter decided to get the tattoo done just a few days after watching his team secure their place in the final, beating Manchester United 1-0.
He said: 'It was just a spur of the moment thing. It was my idea. I think it's because we beat United. I was just on a buzz after like three days. I was still thinking we'll beat them.
Craig, from Oldham, paid £180 for the tattoo to be done.
'It hurt quite a bit because it's on the spine,' he said. 'I think the tattooist found it funny because he was laughing but I paid him cash and had it done.
'I was on such a high that we had beat them in the semi I was thinking it's a foregone conclusion.'
This is Craig's 28th tattoo - 20 of which are Manchester City related.
'I'm a bit scared now, course I am. I've had stick off my mates, blues and reds, and now I'm thinking "S*** what happens if we win?" But you live by the sword and you die by the sword, so I'm happy to take it on the chin.
'If we lose I'll be jumping under the blanket for a bit. My friend says I'm daft. Even if we lose I'll keep it. I won't tattoo over it. I'm proud to be a blue definitely, I'm absolutely 110 per cent proud to be a city fan.
'I think other City fans will understand and it won't matter. I'm a bit daft because my mates have all said what if we lose, what if this, but I'm not bothered. I've had it done and I can't change the fact that I've had it done.
'I couldn't resist it - City have been waiting 35 years for a major trophy and I'm sure we'll lift the cup this time.
'If the worst happens and we don't lift the cup, it is something I will just have to live with. As a City fan I am used to being let down but I think we are going to win on Saturday.
He will head to London with his three-year-old son, Nathan, and 11 friends to watch the match at Wembley.
One way or another, this will be a weekend he's gonna remember.
Aahha, oh god. I hope they lose now.

Stoke have got this far, so I'm not doubting them.
Plus City have to keep up their tradition of lack of trophies.
Even if they lose that's still a ridiculous tattoo.

What an idiot.
I never understood tattoos. Wonder how's gonna feel about that when he's old if they lose.
"Grandpa, did they really win?"
"Y-yeah... :ohdear: they did."

"Grandpa what's that big smudge on your back?"
never understood people that took sports this serious
never understood whats so fun watching some people play a sport and actually supporting the teams
After beating Arsenal 3-1 at the weekend, Stoke are probably pretty pumped for this, and I don't doubt they can win it.
I'd love for them to lose it just to see some football fans get crushed.
Sports mentality is fucking stupid anyway.
Wow what a massve idiot lol

"It's a shitty tattoo. Lesson of the day: don't get shitty tattoos."
Haha what a dumbfuck
The fuck man it's all lopsided and shit, and idiotically squashed between two other tattoos that are thrown in equally retarded places.
This man, he doesn't understand tattoos :smithicide:
Only in Manchester...
Not a chance in hell he'll regret that. Inconcieveable.
I hope they lose by a lot. Or get disqualified for something.
Sucks to be him if they lose.
This reminds me of when I was in high school in the Middle East. The Cricket World Cup was on and the next game would be India Vs. Pakistan. There was a Pakistani kid in my class with a mouth too big for his own good, and whenever the teach was out he'd shout "INDIA FUCKING SUCKS! PAKISTAN'S GONNA KICK YOUR ASS!" and other stuff along those lines.
The day of the game, India absolutely OBLITERATES Pakistan.
Guy doesn't come to school for a week.
City fans, ever the optimists.
Stoke will win, and I'll tell you why - because they have the passion for it. Man City are a team of superstars bought like candy from an overpriced candy store. They play dull Italian football and do not deserve to win the trophy in any case.
