A Washington musician who ordered a flat-screen TV from Amazon.com was shocked to receive a semiautomatic assault rifle instead.
Thirty-eight-year-old Seth Horvitz says he purchased the 39-inch television from a third-party seller. A box arrived from UPS on Tuesday evening, and it seemed too small to contain the TV. He says he initially thought it contained accessories.
But when he opened it, he found a Sig Sauer military-style rifle. He says he had never held a gun before he felt the trigger of the rifle.
An invoice showed that the gun was intended for delivery to a firearms dealer in Duncansville, Pa. Horvitz called police, who took the gun and are investigating how the mistaken shipment occurred. Amazon.com Inc. and United Parcel Service Inc. had no immediate comment.
Do you need a gun licence for that?

Astronaut food.
Now I can finally get a gun through this draconian country

Investigated, and then arrested with the headline "Mass shooting thwarted"
I would have burned the evidence and kept the gun hidden somewhere if I were him.

But then if you wanted the TV, you'd need to spend another $2K.
looks like an airsoft
Well airsoft are meant to look like the real thing and all
Do you need a gun licence for that?
If it's a shotgun wedding. :v:
Cool, i'm ordering one of them "throwable remotes" then.
If this were Russia, I'm sure a tank would be involved, somewhere...

What kind of tv are you buying? I bought another 42in last year for under $400.

Say if you wanted a 60 inch TV that has 3D, that'd easily come up to over $2K.

I was wondering this as well, its the second person I have seen this week say TVs are thousands of dollars. I was starting to wonder if the UK got lucky with TV pricing because TVs are pretty damn cheap here.
It's not an assault rifle if it's semi-automatic.
But how could the seller confuse a TV order with a gun order?
Part time media job?
SIG716 Semi-Auto... Normally if you're buying 3rd Party it'll run you anywhere from $1600[no custom] to $2300[custom stuff]. Either way... Nice trade off.

AR-15
Are they sure it wasn't an AK-47?
I would have kept it.
I would have kept it.
So if you had paid for a TV and got something completely different you would have kept it? What about the TV you wanted? Its not like the seller is just going to send out a TV and ignore the fact that you have his gun.

Only if she's packing a magnum.
:v:
This would have been a holy grail of luck.
If it was me I would have called Amazon and said they misplaced my TV somehow so I get a TV and a free gun.
