Oh I remember March 1st, 2007 like it was yesterday. It was around 11 a.m. and I was sitting in my history class room. I was done working on a worksheet our teacher had given us so I was just staring outside at the gloomy skies. It was a dreary day, outside it was grey and cold and class was going by as slow as possible. I remember just staring outside, when the sirens went off. The sirens were going off because for the 2nd time in that school year, we were under a tornado warning, and as usual, we were ushered outside into the hallways to wait until the storm would blow over. Being the silly teens that we were, we sat in the hallway joking about the crap weather outside, just trying to pass the time as we sat there. Last time there was a bad storm we sat in the hallway for a good hour, but this time it was different. Time after time again, the sirens went off. At around 12:30 we got some great news from the teachers, "At 1, you guys are gonna be allowed to go home, school's gonna be canceled." Everybody starts cheering and we all get excited about going home and not about being bored in a hallway. At around 12:45 we got so bored that a couple of the students started doing the wave down the aisle, it was pretty cool :P. 1 P.M. Even typing this part already gets my heart racing. At 1pm, something else happened, something that only happens in movies. The sirens had gone off again, and my algebra 2 teacher started yelling, "A tornado touched down at the airport and it's heading this way." The hallway had gone eerily still. People weren't sure how to react, some kids had blank stares, others (like me) were scared shitless. The lights started flickering, and this is when I start saying to myself, "This can't be happening, this can't be happening, this can't be happening..." The lights kept flicker, and then went off completely. That's when I started hearing random noises in the distance. It was as if someone was banging stuff against a metal roof. I started to hear ripping, crashing, and more banging. It was pitch black, people were pushing against me out of fear. People were screaming it was dark and the noise was getting closer. Then the noise became unbearable and the wall behind me disappeared and I just felt wind. 1:15 P.M. It was still dark. The noise was gone. All I heard was cries of help, shouting of orders, and people moving about. I tried to figure out what just happened to me, the last thing I remember was the wall behind me disappearing and now it was just dark. I was being pushed flat against the ground by what must be the wall, the only thing I could move was my hand because it was stuck outside of the wall. I also remember how hard it was for me to breath. I could only take in short gasps of breath and that was it. I was being forced into such an awkward position that I could barely breath. I tried my best to remain calm, but I just had so many thoughts racing through my mind. "How badly am I hurt?" "Will I pass out if I keep breathing like this?" "Will I make it out alive?" "Am I going to DIE!?" "Will I see my family again?!" I just kept trying to remain calm but these same thoughts kept running through my mind. With my free arm I felt around for a rock and played with a rock, I know it sounds weird, but I started getting bored being trapped down under that wall. The kid next to me kept screaming for help, and I remember telling him to shut up because I knew people were working on trying to get us out. I was starting to get angry because now my back was starting to hurt, I could barely breath, I was getting bored, and someone had just stepped on my free hand against the rock so it got nice and cut up. It wasn't until another 15 minutes later that I was freed. The light was blinding. I had been stuck in pure darkness and the light from outside was miraculous. I could breath again, I could move, I loved it! The kid next to me got pulled out too, and we sat there looking from where we were just pulled out. The wall the lockers were on didn't break apart because the lockers kept it into one solid piece. The wall and the lockers as one solid piece had fallen on us sitting in the aisle. As that had happened, the ceiling came down in one solid piece as well crushing us against the floor. I sat there in the open just staring at what I got pulled out from, and I remember when the fireman looked down from where I was pulled, look at Chris, and said "We have a no breather!" He was sitting next to the kid I told to shut up. They were close friends. I got up after he said that and saw my Auto Mechanics teacher. He was barking orders left and right and told me to come with him to get some jacks to help get the wall off of others. It wasn't until I got to the shop that I noticed that my back hurt like hell. I just left the building and walked outside to see what had happened. It was a warzone. The parking lots were littered with flipped cars, trees were blown down, power lines were everywhere, and other parts of the school were utterly decimated. The teachers told us to go to the church right next door where they'd try to get everyone's name. I shuffled my way over to the church and found my friends and asked if they were okay, but they were more worried about me. We sat in the church just waiting some more, waiting to see what happens, and that's when I saw my dad. He drove me home, both just silent. We both got home and saw my mom and brother, and I went and hug my mom and just broke out in tears, I was lucky to be alive and I got to see my family again. TL;DR Epic story. BTW Ended up with a compression fracture in 1 of my lumbar and 3 of my vertebra. Used to be 6 foot tall and now I'm only 5' 11"!

Tornadoes don't exist silly, you must have been tripping balls on the LSD I lent you earlier.
dude INTENSE
Chris along with 7 others perished. Crazy/scary part is that they were all either across or really close by in the hallway.
12-21-09 or The Day I Didn't Care
What if this happened to you, and the Firefighters said, "Forget him, he has no sympathy, a kid almost died 03/01/07 and he said he didn't care, lets leave him" So think about this for a second, and see what you're saying, and picture yourself in his place
Chris along with 7 others perished. there has to be a news story or something about this.

It was on the news for 1 day and that was about it really. Rachael Ray did a thing about it too.
I'd wonder how the fuck the firefighters knew who I was on a forum.
Just think about you being in his position, what would you do, hmm?
