Enjoy! I know you can't please all of the people all of the time, but hopefully this will please some of the people all of the 15 minutes ;]
I thought that sounded terrible
MCs ruin good sets
Song itself wasn't that bad I guess. But the MC sorta sucked.
Song was pretty interesting. The MC was annoying.
This was really bad. I want to punch the MC in the face.
Yeah the MC was awful. I don't agree that they always ruin good sets, they can definitely add to them- It's just a shame it's not often.
MCs sometimes work well in club settings, but why the hell would you want one on your studio mix
The key to being a good MC is knowing when to just shut the fuck up and let the music play.

hold up guys we got ourselves an mc expert here
The key to being a good MC is not being an MC

Ever heard jungle?
An MC can work great with DnB, but in this case the MC just wasn't very good. I can't really tell what he's saying most of the time, there isn't enough confidence in his flow, and it's just not really going that well with the pace and structure of the music.
I like when he says wait for the drop after the drop already happened
What the fuck that was bad, get that talking dude outta there,
The tracks are good, but that mc.. just horrible
Your friend needs to learn when to shut up.
Can you upload the mix without him please?

Loads, ofc MCs can be good in songs where there is an intended place for them. But unfortunately this seems like they just improvised some stupid stuff
Fair enough guys - thanks for the responses - it was just really done as a joke. We were both mashed out of our faces, he doesn't MC much so he doesn't have much bars anyway. We just did this as a bit of fun. There will be MORE to come though! I got a much better MC that'll do a lot better next time! And yes, I agree - the MC... he aint the best. I'll leave it at that. I'll upload the drum and bass mix without the vocals tonight, cause it actually is nicely mixed and also contains some nice tunes.

hahahaha yes, at the start? omg yes, that pissed me off. that could have been so good as well. instead he waits another 4 bars before he actually MCs :( high five to you though, hivemind.

The part at 4:40 is funny too, he makes the same rhyme twice and then stops in the middle of a line because it goes in to a breakdown haha.
I was at a club one night and the MC kept saying DROP right when the drop hit every single time, but he didn't seem to realize his mic was ducking the highs and mids on the mix a bit every time he spoke so he'd say drop and then the drop would slowly fade in after he shut up. He ruined two full sets that way haha.
I think my main issue with MCs is that almost every MC I've ever seen seems to think that they are the focus of the show instead of knowing that they are there to build hype and supplement the music. Every MC I know personally is a bit full of themselves too which I think contributes to that haha.
PS: Glad to see you've moved away from the cheesy trance stuff :P

Surprised anyone remembers lol! Anyway, I produce/mix breakbeat/dubstep/drumandbass/jungle/hardtrance/progressive trance now. Still no releases yet, all unfinished loops or 2 min songs :(

your beatmatching is pretty sloppy, work on it.

my god your mate is terrible, get rid. you could make a reasonable dj without that idiot. watch your gain levels some tunes are way to loud others too quiet.

http://soundcloud.com/atomiku for my two Sunday Sessions drum and bass mixes you WILL like, if you liked the tracklist of this thread's link.
But to cut a long story short: the MC was shit, but I had a better someone do a little freestyle over something while I was mixing drum and bass on the spot... it's better, but still not best. I'll release that here quietly and keep it away from atomiku.com and soundcloud, then i'll wait until my PROPER MC mate is available to do something, cause he's really damn good. He's part of a drum and bass music group that do events etc and he's actually quite a good MC.
