She died on Monday at home in Woodside, California, from natural causes. "She was surrounded by her family and caregivers," a statement said. "We salute her for a life of remarkable achievements as an actor, as a diplomat, and... our beloved mother, grandmother [and] great-grandmother."
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-25719377

I grew up watching Shirley Temple. And I grew up in the 90's, that shit was still hot. She'll surely be missed.
One of her greatest But seriously I didn't really know anything about her before now, besides recognising her name, so it's interesting that I've still seen stuff that was (I'd assume) influenced by her
Honestly I didn't even know she was still alive, at least she didn't fall into a hard mess like many other child actors today. RIP.
Fun fact: Her daughter became a bass player for the grunge band Melvins. RIP.

I never saw her as an adult.

She's finally on the good ship lollipop. RIP
Holy shit, my grandpa got a bicycle from her when he was little (my Great grandfather owned a laundromat in Hollywood and used to do a lot of the laundry for movie stars so they occasionally hung out or something to that effect). Shame he wasn't allowed to keep the bicycle
huh, i thought she died of cancer years ago
My sister had dozens of VHS tapes of her movies
Whoa. 85 though, she had a good innings.
I thought she married some abusive guy after her childhood stardom died down?
My sister had dozens of VHS tapes of her movies
The kid behind her looks like he has a Joker grin, it's creepy
I'm not the only one who's afraid to go on twitter to see how many people are amazed that Shirley Temple was an actual person and not just a drink, am I? Or if there are people who thought she was a movie character?
