Well. He planned this 2 years ago, And the script looks pretty thick, So i have good feelings about it.

did you ever watch any of his non-avgn movies? This guy is a horror movie encyclopedia and he's been doing movies since... primary school I think. He's a complete movie nut who wants to make a living making movies. He probably learned how to splice film before learning how to tie his shoes.
I'm pretty sure he's gonna put his heart and soul into making this.
I preferred it when he was just an angry person talking about terrible games, and not so much playing a character

KIckassia was a bit of a disappointment. It was entertaining enough, but a lot of the jokes lacked a good punch. And, on the technical side, Doug makes $150,000 from the site, yet he can't afford a better camera and a decent Boom-Mic? The editing could've been better, and once again on the technical side, couldn't they atleast get two cameras shooting simultaneously

He really isn't a youtube celeb.
I don't really find him that funny to be honest.
I feel that his swearing is a tad too forced and it bothers me.

I have serious doubts that he can actually pull this off successfully for a number of reasons. AVGN also isn't my favorite game "reviewer".
I will say this though, he has some very impressive range that most other people don't have. His videos can be funny, sad, depressing, silly, stupid, creative or really heartfelt and can make you feel really good depending on which sort of videos you watch. (AVGN isn't the only videos he makes)
He is good at evoking emotion, i just hope he stays away from his B-Characters like the ninja, the annoying as fuck joker, [b]shitpickle[/b] and all those other characters which downright pissed me off.
Also i am an AVGN fan, don't get me wrong, i just have a little trouble putting the pieces together on this one. I hope it doesn't turn out like a clerks ripoff or just a bunch of stupid as shit characters popping in and out.
AVGN has been making movies since he was a kid, guys.
He's not a YouTube whore for a nice little list of reasons:
1)He got his start on ScrewAttack. Somewhere that doesn't just take and publish everything thrown at it.
2)He's been in to what he's doing for years previous to his YouTube/internet fame.
3)His fanbase of consists of more than just 11-14 year olds with no real tastes of their own following the latest popular shit. Like basically all current YouTube whores.
4)He creates HIS OWN original content.
5)He actually gives half a fuck about his fans, they're not just number on his YouTube account. An account which coincidentally he doesn't give a shit about
All that being said, I genuinely don't believe this is that great of an idea, but just because I can't see a working format for it that isn't NOTHING like his regular videos.
But if there's truth to this I hope that this was something he's been planning. Not just doing it for the sake of doing it because he was offered.
