DOZENS of Muslim protesters walked with one of Britain's most controversial hate preachers to demand restaurants and shops in one of London's most popular areas stop selling alcohol.
Business owners in Brick Lane in Whitechapel, on the edge of the city, were told on Friday they face 40 lashes if they continue to sell their "evil" products.
Brick Lane is one of London's trendiest areas and a popular location for Christmas parties.
Anjem Choudary, who used to lead the Al-Muhajiroun group which has been banned under terrorism laws, told the crowd: "The shops are run by Muslims and they know they are selling alcohol and they know the sale and consumption of alcohol is completely prohibited
Hero
I think the Extremists can go to what draconic country they want instead of trying to force a society to recede or succumb to idiotic statements.
I hope that Muslims who aren't apart of this shit aren't targeted by the idiots.

"Islam is perfect!" she said while hiding her skin.
I'm glad to not have any religious issues like this in my country.
I don't understand their motivation.
If they don't like how fundamental things work in some country, why did they move there? Or are all these guys British born? Not to imply there can't be British born muslims, but if they are, that probably means their parents had similar way of thinking, so why did they move to Britain, then?

Apparently the streets of Britain are paved with gold... *facepalm*

Probably more Jobs and better payments in UK than Pakistan or iraq etc, but most muslims dont intergrate they keep loyal to the rules of the quran
Why is Anjem Choudary even still in this country?
From what I read quite awhile back he incited racial hate crimes, and made hints that he wishes death upon David Cameron (Who doesn't to be fair) and a lot of other government officials. Which unless I'm mistaken, doesn't that fall into the category of treason of sorts?
Has he had his benefits revoked yet? Seeing as it's people like me, who pay taxes and it is given straight to him to continue his actions and helps him keep his almost half a million pound home.
Well if they want to live in an islamic shithole there are plenty of options.

Too true.
People are too soft now days to say No, it might hurt someone's feelings
Good luck with that whole don't sell alcohol thing in England. It's like trying to take firearms away from us Americans
I hope the police will be there when they try shit.
Not as much as to stop them, but more because the EDL is bound to be there too, so someone gotta break up the two groups of adults acting like spoiled children.

Wasn't religion a major cause of The Troubles?
Although on topic, do ALL branches of Islam prohibit alcohol and the likes?

Given life without booze or death, I think I'll go out with a nice cold beer.
Behead those who say Islam is violent
I didn't think alcohol was banned for Muslims, I thought it was you weren't allowed to enter a Mosque intoxicated and because they're required to pray so often (something like 5 times a day I think) if you did get pissed you wouldn't have enough time to sober up.

You don't have to go to the mosque to pray all the time, just face Mecca, though it might be mandatory for Friday prayers, I can't remember. Most places have a room that you can go off to pray in. The rule is against drinking naturally made alcohol (through fermentation of fruits or grains, you get the idea), I believe, so alcohol based handgels and other cleaning products using synthetic alcohol can be used.

I'm 100% sure that they are not prohibited to sell it either way, so it's just a case of muslim extremists being complete douchenozzles, as with all extremists.
Can we please stop giving these retards attention?
Too bad giving lashes to someone is punishable by law.
Too bad giving lashes to someone is punishable by law.
They seem to get away with quite a bit as it is that is "Punishable by law"
Wouldn't be surprised if it happens and no one gets any sore of repercussion.
HATE preacher Anjem Choudary is today exposed as “the biggest hypocrite around” — by ex-student friends who knew him as a drunken, womanising buffoon called Andy.
Choudary’s old pals spoke out as the Muslim fanatic tried desperately to get embarrassing photos deleted off the internet.

Who cares what a bunch of idiots say while marching on the street. They have no actual power, no actual influence. So why make them look like they do?
In the end of the day, if me and a bunch of friends tried to do the same shit, except not under a religious guise, no one would give a fuck.
Seems the radical hate preacher is fine with his own consumption of unholy narcotics :P
edit: shit my automerge

Actually it is, however it's entirely optional on the person, there's sharia courts across the uk, muslims are given the option of a uk court or a sharia court in the uk to handle things (This is usually just disputes between muslims however). Jews have similar courts but not on the same scale (there's far more muslims than jews in the uk), this exists to stop the flooding of religious issues in uk courts.
Although, these courts decide family, religious and business issues, no darker side of sharia law is currently present (sharia punishment like beheadings, lashes.)
Sharia law exists, is legal and is recognized by the uk government, this is because of the The Arbitration Act.
Under the Arbitration Act, Sharia law has been deemed a form of arbitration for Muslim civil cases within the UK.
This is extremely controversial as Sharia law does not offer the same civil rights protection, particularly to woman, as UK law. However, as a result of the act many Muslim cases are being arbitrated under Sharia law, from matters involving finance, domestic violence and family marriage breakdowns.
As Sharia law is acknowledged under the Arbitration Act it is now enforceable within the forum of arbitration the UK.
Arbitration is a form of alternative dispute resolution. It is used in a variety of different disputes as a cheaper alternative to running a case to a full-blown trial.
alcohol is shit anyway
UK shouldn't have to put up with this bullshit. I feel for you it happens all across Europe(just not to that extend). Stories of Hate preaching and the like start emerging from everywhere.
