The employee's take forever to type. I type faster than them and they do whatever they're doing for a living.
no kidding
'Employee's' ? You mean porn actresses?
its cos they're talking to lots of people normally. They're live they just take long to reply. Just for clarification I've only been on the livejasmin messing about.
As someone who's been on the other side of one of these live support chats, I can say that they are very laggy indeed. It can take between five or ten seconds for a single message to get to us.
Usually there is a video delay, not sure about their typing speed though.
its cos they're talking to lots of people normally. They're live they just take long to reply.
This is true lol I am on streammate as an actress, i get a high volume sometimes
Usually there is a video delay, not sure about their typing speed though.
On EA's Live Chat I had to wait 10 minutes to get a three letter sentence, then she said "Sorry, not a fast typist."
Service is dead.
The employee's take forever to type. I type faster than them and they do whatever they're doing for a living.
Maybe because they have to assist multiple customers simultaneously? Ever thought of that?
Its all fucking bots
i got one where the person typed, I ignored it then saw the video restart and her type and nothing come up. Fairly funny
I just close those annoying motherfuckers immediately. Don't interrupt me while I'm doing something sacred.
when it is live they are online with 5-7 people at a time.
who cares you get to cum either way
All chat's I have been in with employee's took them a few seconds to anwser.:downs:
I thought we were talking about live pornstars here
This reminds me of the time facepunch fucked around with Staples Customer Service. They eventually caught on and "blocked" anybody who followed a link from facepunch. Good times.
I find that sometimes they're real (porn or customer service), but yeah, sometimes it seems like it's just a bot.
So to clarify, were not talking about porn? Well the rest of the thread is, but the OP isn't talking about porn?
So to clarify, were not talking about porn? Well the rest of the thread is, but the OP isn't talking about porn?
Well I think everyone is thinking porn, but not everyone is necessarily referring to it...needless to say, this thread can be little confusing. feelingmisled.jpg
The employee's take forever to type. I type faster than them and they do whatever they're doing for a living.
They have to communicate with other people, watch porn and convert their text from indian to english to get to you. Be patient little man.
I've been on the other side of the support desk once. It's mainly due to the fact you've got to do paperwork for every call you receive.
This guy at Gamefly.com was uhh probably copy-pasting. He'd type a whole paragraph in at least 5 seconds top, no exaggeration. I was like, wow nice fast responses. He typed back quickly with no capitals or anything like his previous sentences "thank you im a fast typer"
Pretty sure he's talking about support/customer service chats, not porn webcams. I do find it intriguing that porn is the first thing the majority of posters think about though.
That's because it's what it's best known for. If you asked this question on the streets people will automatically think you're talking about porn too and would probably try to avoid you because of it. I think the OP should've been more specific.
There's also the factor that a lot of live chat systems are based on PHP and that there will always be a minimum refresh rate. For example, Brohoster uses Kayako LiveResponse and basically the way it works is that the client on the web browser has a script that asks the server 'have I received any new messages' every 15-20 seconds. So while we may have responded, you may not receive the message for up to 15 seconds. This is also the case for anything you say, but it's only 5-10 seconds for us.
Really hate steam's voice delay, I find myself trying to figure out what their response is and answering before they finish so it gets to them "ontime."
If you're not visiting a legit company website it's most likely a bot that will give you a very standard response, if it's anything outside of giving you the same link or number to call over and over no matter what you type, it's a bot. But no, most of the time it's a real person assisting a ton of customers.
Well if it's a legit company then there's a few reasons. They are double checking their punctuation for one. Also, these people aren't teenaged gamers and therefore I doubt they spend as much time as we do typing in their 5 minute chats.
I usually take stuff like "YOU FUCKING WHORE", and they start frowning. I'm all :smug:
