I hope there is some sort of conspiracy in this where it turns out there are people on both sides profiting from the war and its not just british bashing, god bless america. Would be a little too simplistic for an assassins creed game.
um, AC4: Escape from Downtown Los Angeles.
You will be killing both sides in this game, they've already stated its not gonna be like that. IF you payed attention in AC2, one of the picture puzzles showed George Washington as a templar, holding the apple and all. Personally I say fuck the British and fuck the Colonials, Cherokee nation up in here.

That poor pony, he just wanted to be free. Pretty cool trailer, but I doubt even an assassin could survive fighting inside the enemy line.
I will be dissapointed if they dont make Benedict Arnold into a boss fight with all sorts of pro-America stuff in it.
This trailer is pretty dumb imo. Way too over the top.
This trailer is pretty dumb imo. Way too over the top.
I think the point of it was to show that he's a class above the rest, that he doesn't belong in a real war. He's just there to take out the general (who's a Templar, as shown by the Cross), hopefully there will be a follow-up showing the other side of things.

Personally, I'd have like to see an AC game set in the French Revolution. The streets of Paris during the Great Terror seems like a much more appropriate setting, what with all political assassinations and intrigue going on. But then again, they are trying something new here, so I have no complaints.

If you watch the trailer you can clearly see the other General looking troubled that Connor just killed his enemies General, i'm assuming this is because they're both Templars.

Not as good as the other ones imho
This trailer makes no sense. Why the hell was he charging the front lines? That is literally the exact opposite of what an assassin would actually do. And why the fuck did nobody shoot him? At 1:29 you can actually SEE a guy pointing a gun right at him! Did that dude just go "nah, never mind" and do something else?
putting logic into a video game trailer is basically trying to make it unenjoyable for yourself
Fuck that I want to be on the British side. They have so much swag compared to the colonists.
putting logic into a video game trailer is basically trying to make it unenjoyable for yourself
Is this what video game consumers have become "I don't want sensible trailers that tell me the devs know what they're doing and aren't just pandering to the MW3 MOAR ACTION crowd, gimme slow motion stabbings and cool music!"
Visibly jumping from tree to tree Walks into military camp without a disguise Charges hundreds of trained musket-wielding troops ~Assassin~
Guy-who-takes-on-entire-British-infantry-company-in-close-combat-alone Creed III [editline]5th June 2012[/editline] The only way I'd consider buying this now is if they promised me a 12-story tall George Washington made of radiation stomping around the battlefield fucking the shit out of bears

Assassins creed fails on the regards of sensible combat. Its just dumb AI you kill in swarms and often or not you have no fear of dying because the game is just that fucking easy.

Well the majority of console gamers. Most gamers like that, and so they create a trailer for them to rake in more customers. Besides Trailers aren't the finished game. Look at how cinematic SWTOR trailers where.

I'm instantly pandering to nonstop action MW3-tier shit just because I don't think logic is important in what's supposed to be an attention-grabbing trailer? The trailer is nice, it has a lot of action as well as pleasurable visuals and sounds. The uncommonly seen American Revolution in a video game is also pleasing. I don't care how much sense it makes, it's just nice overall and I really enjoyed watching it and makes me anticipate the game more than I already did (Revelations got me hyped for this game because it shows the beginning of what is the Assassin's Creed franchise finally getting good.) If this is how I feel, then the trailer did its job. Yes, it's quite odd that hundreds of men were unable to stop a single man within the middle of them, but why let it effect your opinion on the trailer when everything else about it is so nice?

Cinematic trailer =!= Gameplay. Everybody knows this from what happened over the years. First Dead Island then TORtanic, all Cinematic trailers are supposed to do is to put the name out there in a cool way so people know about it. Gameplay trailers are to show what the actual game is like.
Why would you want to see a trailer that, hopefully, does not reflect the actual game it is supposed to be selling at all? Also do you know what pandering means? I thought the trailer as a whole is awful. It told me nothing about the game except for its setting and if it actually show off the gameplay in any sense than the game is a rather stupid departure from its series. And I don't see how this trailer special in any way. Neat music + crazy dramatic prerendered action is the format of basically every trailer ever since Gears of War came out, and they did it better.
