After a girl suffered an arm injury following a flare incident at Soundwave, promoter AJ Maddah has tweeted that people have now provided him with images of the 'jerk' who lit it.AJ says the girl, as of yet unidentified, is "really hurt".
"Massive awful burn on her forearm. I am devastated for her," he tweeted.
But in what could be a positive as authorities will no doubt want to catch the person or people responsible, AJ also said people tweeted "images of this jerk from multiple angles".
"Hopefully we can post ASAP and get him identified."
reports also circulating that nobody was even frisk searched when entering the event
Are there any images of the guy in question?
What a cunt, that's pretty much all there is to say, what a colossal, gaping, meaty cunt.
not at the moment, most likely its been given to police for investigating
Heh, some friends went to SoundWave. I'm gonna ask about it.
I went last year, not worth $200

i went with friends and had a great time
worth the 160 or whatever it was
cbf going this year though
Yeesh, that's as bad as that one time some stupid with a flare gun burned down the Montreaux Casino.
To be fair, causing serious disfiguring burns to a young girl and burning down a casino are different kinds of terrible damage; one damages body and mind, whilst the other destroyed a building and recording equipment belonging to Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, so it's very hard to compare two very different kinds of damage equally.
Both were terrible occurrences nonetheless, and all because someone wanted to go up to eleven with the whole "torch of tribute" thing; a lighter or a candle would have bloody well sufficed, fire is already a symbolic enough tribute, and going overboard with something like that almost always results in disaster.
Smoooke on the waaaaterrrrr...
I am totally content knowing that the guy who did this is very sorry, truly and deeply sorry and feels bad, but does not want to come forward necessarily. For all the publicity's sake, probably.
He was dissapointed it wasn't a Rammstein concert.
Every time someone lights a flare at a gig or festival I have been to, they are always fairly sensible with it. As long as you don't throw them like that idiot I see no problem with them.
Jailing someone over simply lighting one is stupid http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-south-scotland-14595229
That article is bullshit anyway because there's no way you can "run away" if you're in the crowd 20 yards from the stage.

And fire in the sky. And terrible injuries to a young girl. And the destruction of a casino.
I didn't know flares burned that bright.
I might bring two of them to the next concert I go to.

It's mostly the crappy pic quality.

emergency flares are meant to be bright, and combined with shitty pic quality, it looks like a house fire
What a wanker.
Why the hell do you need a flare at concert anyways?

you get the idea to bring flares to a concert
in a thread where a girl at a concert was burned by said flares
makes sense

I got some sparks into my neck at a festival and now I have scars there, the sparks burn deep.
Went there but to the Brisbane one...and yeah, there was not much searching at all. Like, 2 second peek in your bag and then 'alright mate, enjoy'.
Hence why every time a big band was on you smelt drugs all the time (headaches :l)

he brought up a completely separate event just to dedicate his entire post to comparing the two events and putting on a one man debate over which was worse lol
i have no idea why he does this stuff
