that is fucking horrifying
I. Want. This. Game.
George Washington Automaton with a gatling gun. This idea sounds hilarious but is pretty horrifying as well.
That dude had an oddly shaped head.
This game looks pretty cool. Haven't played earlier bioshock games though. I thought they were in this underwater gritty horror style, this looks rather different.
So he's going to come and come and come no matter what? I like that. If you know what I mean

This one isn't directly related to the first two, but it seems to keep the semi-steampunk feel and the superpower drugs concept.
That things voice is
AWESOME.
That is so horrifying, but goddamn amazing.
god damnit i want this game nowww
"He is a deadly, deadly enemy" okay so lets show a video of the player pointlessly shooting at him with a revolver/sniper rifle. makes sense.
I think Columbia is going to crash into the sea (because it was codenamed Project Icarus) and then all the nostrums and vigor's and shit will get somehow corrupt into the sea slugs and then little old Andrew Ryan will build rapture right beside them.
"He is a deadly, deadly enemy" okay so lets show a video of the player pointlessly shooting at him with a revolver/sniper rifle. makes sense.
Well what do you want them to do, have a party with confetti??? Maybe the player ran out of ammo on the other weapons trying to kill it, and the only other weapons with ammo left were those two.
Well what do you want them to do, have a party with confetti??? Maybe shmaybe.
Holy shit, the cracked porcelain face is such a great touch.

Either than him looking at you and shooting at you with a gattling gun. The guys in bioshock were more 'frightening' then this mechanical lard of tard.
I must have battle with one!
"He is a deadly, deadly enemy" okay so lets show a video of the player pointlessly shooting at him with a revolver/sniper rifle. makes sense.
Well, they could have just put on god mode so that they could actually show off the enemy in the video, instead of only showing glimpses while the character runs from cover to cover.
No, I want to see a uniqueness added to the fight. Either than him looking at you and shooting at you with a gattling gun. The guys in bioshock were more 'frightening' then this mechanical lard of tard.
I do agree with this, though. "We wanted to add a unique, imaginative enemy that augments the other enemies in the game, providing unique experiences whenever you run into them." "What is the enemy?" "It's a big guy with a big gun that doesn't have any AI other than 'move towards player and shoot'". Yes, very unique, and I can definitely see how it augments other enemies. :downs: Sure, add a big guy with a gun that doesn't stop coming at you, but don't call it unique. You can call it surprising compared to other enemies that hide, take cover, and flee, forcing the player to quickly change their strategy, but don't call it unique. Also, the things the robot says can't really be funny or creepy if you can't actually make out what it's saying. Maybe it'll be clearer when you actually play, but there's also the fact that it will almost always be shooting, drowning out the noise of what it's saying. And you can't really make the face creepy if you're only going to be fighting it at long range and can't see the intricacies of the face unless if you're a dumbass who runs up to it to stab it to death. It could work in large areas where you have a sniper rifle and are encouraged to zoom in to see what's going on first, where it suddenly turns towards you and starts to shoot. But the instances they showed off have it popping out of closets and being in relatively small rooms.
I wasn't a fan of the original Bioshocks, but this one looks great. The theme, environment, the characters, it's all very much something I like. I'm hoping I'll enjoy this one.
Laugh at me now dammit, but when this shit actually happens I'll be the one laughing.
Well Irrational Games did say (correct me if I'm wrong though), that Infinite is in no way related to the first two Bioshocks.
BUT!
Now that I think about the tears in Infinite, maybe Rapture will be part of a tear. Otherwise, everything you just said is a very silly presumption, based on the project name. [editline]10th March 2012[/editline] and if Ryan built Rapture Right next to the sunken Columbia, then how come we never see anything remotely related to that city in Bioshocks 1 & 2. Ergo, another point in my argument against yours.

this is the first thing that popped up in my head about this
lol thread music after the video

I cant seem to find it but if anyone does please post it.
