I use ventrilo to talk to my guildies on WoW. Sometimes, as a result of this, when I talk to people in real life, I attempt to press my "Control" key (the key I use to enable my voice on Vent) to talk people around me, even without a keyboard near me.
This is true stupidity.

It's not really stupidity, it's more like you talking to people over vent too much and it becoming a habit to press ctrl whenever you talk. You've not lost IQ points or knowledge, you've just formed a habit.
