US investigators corroborate some aspects of the Russia dossier
Washington (CNN)For the first time, US investigators say they have corroborated some of the communications detailed in a 35-page dossier compiled by a former British intelligence agent, multiple current and former US law enforcement and intelligence officials tell CNN. As CNN first reported, then-President-elect Donald Trump and President Barack Obama were briefed on the existence of the dossier prior to Trump's inauguration.
None of the newly learned information relates to the salacious allegations in the dossier. Rather it relates to conversations between foreign nationals. The dossier details about a dozen conversations between senior Russian officials and other Russian individuals. Sources would not confirm which specific conversations were intercepted or the content of those discussions due to the classified nature of US intelligence collection programs.
But the intercepts do confirm that some of the conversations described in the dossier took place between the same individuals on the same days and from the same locations as detailed in the dossier, according to the officials. CNN has not confirmed whether any content relates to then-candidate Trump.

The tape is real?
The tape is real?
No, Apparently the other stuff unrelated to Trump, no evidence yet about Trump in the Dossier.
Don't forget the instance of 19% shares of a Russian Oil Company being sold off to an unnamed party (also corroborating with the dossier as well).
Ive said it before, this whole Russian collusion situation and the totally underwhelming response to it is gonna be fucking shocking to people 15, 20 years down the road.
Is this the first trickle of rocks preceding the landslide?

I wish people would stop talking about the piss tapes, as it detracts from the very real threat of Russian collusion

Agreed. I have a feeling we'll start seeing more and more as the months roll on. Imagine the tweetstorm that develops if the entire dossier is true.

I imagine most of those tweets would involve the word "fake".

Yeah, but if the piss tapes were real, that would be the end of comedy for the rest of human history, because nothing would ever be funnier than that.
Another good reddit thread with advisor Carter page

I wouldn't be laughing.
The idea that our president could hold a person in such contempt as to do something like that... what else could he be capable of if provoked? I think the implications, if true, are far more disturbing that amusing.

Oh he would be known forever as piss boy. The GOP would be known as the party that nominated piss boy. They would be a laughing stock and never recover.
The problem is that even if Trump has committed treason, and there is evidence beyond a reasonable doubt supporting that conclusion, the Republican-controlled congress may not impeach him because he has a great deal of support among Republicans in general, and doing so would greatly hurt their chances for re-election.

I support Trump and for all the wrong reasons. Its like watching NASCAR. People support their driver but secretly wanna see a car crash or a vehicular fireball or two.
If Trump gets burned so be it. Break out the pop corn.
Stop over estimating the support Trump has. His fans will turn on him if given a good reason to.

i guarantee keeping Trump and the "fuck everyone but me" faction he represents would do more long-term damage to the party than impeaching him. not because i expect Americans to learn their lesson after this administration, it's just a totally unsustainable strategy, both from a changing demographics point of view and because Trumpism in general seems hard to reproduce in later elections.

Considering he has a gilded penthouse and rich people who inherited their wealth tend be degenerates(british ruling class for example), him being into golden showers would be believable
