A real badass.
It's nice that he said "love you" to whoever he was talking to just as it passed over him.
It's nice that he said "love you" to whoever he was talking to just as it passed over him.
this video is old it was his wife and he's lucky a piece of debris didn't pierce his truck, either than that, it's really hard to lift a truck unless it's a big ass tornado not saying he isn't a badass, just saying it's possible
Uhmm.. Drive away from it? What?
Uhmm.. Drive away from it? What?
I would rather be still, honestly. If you're driving quickly, and the wind pushes you off the road, you're in a massive amount of danger. He was in what looked to be a heavy truck, so maybe his best bet was to just stay still.
Uhmm.. Drive away from it? What?
Tornadoes can move at up to 70MPH.
And to think, there are storm chasers that are fully prepared and try to get hit by them and never get the chance. Too bad he didn't have a higher quality camera, someone would've bought that footage.
Tornadoes can move at up to 70MPH.
Anything's better than standing still...
Damn i hope that if i'm ever in a situation like that I can harness such fortitude and balls of steel as that guy.
Anything's better than standing still...
It's easier to push a car that is already moving than one that is stationary. When you are driving, especially at a high speed, your car will gain lift. When your car has lift and a huge force of wind hits it, it will gain more lift, and possibly get turned over or thrown about.
I'm suprised that he had reception in the middle of that tornado.
I'm suprised that he had reception in the middle of that tornado.
Uh...tornadoes don't impact cell service unless the tower is destroyed.
Uh...tornadoes don't impact cell service unless the tower is destroyed.
It wouldn't distort the signal any?
It wouldn't distort the signal any?
Been through six or more tornadoes...doesn't do any such thing.
"Yeah it's not devastating or anything...Ok there go the power lines...yep there goes the roof, love you hon' bye." :v:
It wouldn't distort the signal any?
It will, but I would assume the signal has error correction of some kind and it doesn't do it enough to degrade the sound.
That poor truck :( First it's either colored golden bronze or yellow, then it's hit by a tornado.
ahah, i love how calm this man is, and also how afterwards he's just like "yeah my trucks just a little mussed up i'm cool though"
It will, but I would assume the signal has error correction of some kind and it doesn't do it enough to degrade the sound.
I never noticed anything during them.
Don't try this shit at home (unless you've got a truck like the video in the OP). Stronger tornadoes are why vehicles like this exist:
I'm suprised that he had reception in the middle of that tornado.
i dont think wind can blow radio waves away
