• Basketball Fans Shot On Philadelphia Train
CCTV footage has been released of two US basketball fans being shot after "a little bit of banter" with fellow train passengers following their team's victory. The pair of Chicago Bulls supporters had been celebrating their team's 96-89 win over local side the Philadelphia 76ers when they got involved in a dispute with two youths thought to be in their late teens. Police say one of the two victims tried to calm the situation but both teenagers can be seen leaving the train before one turned and shot into the carriage. Scum
I am sorry, but have we really not come further than this, shooting each other over sports?
I am sorry, but have we really not come further than this, shooting each other over sports?
they beat each up over football in europe and stuff this is what happens when those idiots get guns
Is the world ending? [editline]14th December 2012[/editline] Obviously I mean that rhetorically but why does there seem to be a higher incidence of shootings today?
they beat each up over football in europe and stuff this is what happens when those idiots get guns
Yup and then everyone went RESPECT WITH SPORTS and now the next guy got beaten up. Stupid mindless fanatics.
Here comes the "why guns should be banned" shit again. EDIT: not trying to start, because threads like these go to that subject after a page or 2
Here comes the "why guns should be banned" shit again
dont fucking start [editline]14th December 2012[/editline] "hey these arguments are stupid so i guess that means i should deliberately start them eh guys"
Is it bad that the first thing i thought of when i read the title was fresh prince of bell air?
Here comes the "why guns should be banned" shit again
It's not "shit" because stuff like this is a legitimate reason as to why guns shouldn't be in the hands of civillians.
Is the world ending? [editline]14th December 2012[/editline] Obviously I mean that rhetorically but why does there seem to be a higher incidence of shootings today?
Violence has only decreased over the times. You just hear about it more cause of the wonderful internet.
It's not "shit" because stuff like this is a legitimate reason as to why guns shouldn't be in the hands of civillians.
Take this shit to the debate board.
-snip- not even going to get into the gun debate, sorry. Those assholes were just that, asshole thugs who can't take a little back-and-forth.
What the hell is wrong with those kids? They shoot a gun at someone then slowly walk away... Eh, guess we've got even more people to add to the "Today's Psychopaths" list.
This has nothing to do with sport. Just some twat with a gun who is socially awkward. Nor can it be compared to football hooligans (soccer) Weapons are for the weak. Stick to fists.

Eh, guess we've got even more people to add to the "Today's Psychopaths" list.
They used to do that in the 50s, but before they had tommy guns and unloaded on a restaurant to kill 2 dudes.
talking to black people on a train is generally not safe (User was banned for this post ("Racism" - rilez))
talking to black people on a train is generally not safe
-snip- joke'd Edit: he's obviously joking lol
How did he get an headshot with out aiming did he just curve the bullet in real time?
-snip- joke'd Edit: he's obviously joking lol
i mean yeah i'm joking, but then not really
What the hell is wrong with those kids? They shoot a gun at someone then slowly walk away... Eh, guess we've got even more people to add to the "Today's Psychopaths" list.
Because every kid wants to be that badass tough guy that gets respect and doesn't take shit from nobody. That's why nobody makes eye contact in Philly, you don't wanna tick off that one idiot who's looking for trouble in the middle of the sidewalk. There's nothing for the kids to do because nobody gives a shit about them so they have to pretty much make up entertainment and violence is pretty cheap.
It's not "shit" because stuff like this is a legitimate reason as to why guns shouldn't be in the hands of civillians.
The kind of person that does this is not the kind of person that's going to be kept unarmed by guns being banned. They will just go to a black market gun shop and get a piece anyway. Criminals willing to shoot random people over sports are not going to give two shits about gun laws, and you know it.
It's not "shit" because stuff like this is a legitimate reason as to why guns shouldn't be in the hands of civillians.
You can make legitimate claims for both sides. Hence why it's always a giant shitstorm on here. And we've heard them all so there's no point in just citing them again.
What a bunch of fucking thugs. What happened to being a human being?
The 76ers are cool and all but seriously, the fuck is wrong with you?
God dammit Philly. Why does home have to be this stupid along side my state.
Please, the school shooting thread had a fucking sewer of arguments over gun control, lets not have another debate over it. Not much else to be said besides how this guy is a fucking dick for shooting people over a game, hope he gets arrested quickly.
This is pretty common in philadelphia. Sports are always serious business here and Philadelphia fans are the most "True" about their feelings, the most vocal and physical. So these guys were just making themselves targets in an already unsafe area. I'm not saying they deserved this, or the shooting was warranted, or this was brought upon themselves, i'm just saying they definitely made themselves targets by celebrated an opponent's victory on a train filled with disappointed fans of the losing hometeam. [editline]14th December 2012[/editline]
God dammit Philly. Why does home have to be this stupid along side my state.
YOU CAN NEVER ESCAPE PHILADELPHIA, NEVER.
I would never go to Oakland, Chicago, Philly, or NY and celebrate their teams losing. That's just asking for shit like this to happen.
Nobody fights over basketball here in California because everybody already knows the Lakers are best. :downs:
