Why would that even happen? It's a slight turn and there is good visibility so the oncoming vehicle would have no reason to collide with that car. The road may be a little wet, but not nearly enough for bad traction. Distracted driving?

Distracted driving?
most likely the oncoming driver was looking at the vehicle on the side of the road and didn't realize they were off course untill it was too late. Edit: I like how people see these videos and think Russia has horrible drivers (they do) but America has total idiots in control of vehicles also you just don't see it because not as many people have dashcams. I have a video of my car being destroyed in a crash with some girl who ignored a stop sign and pulled out into oncoming traffic. Im glad I had the dashcam because it made it easy to clear my fault, she even tried to lie saying I didn't see her.
Russia does have far more incidents of accidents like that though from what I understand. Poorer road maintenance, fewer signs, and less safety margins in the roads, combined with a few other things, all add up.
Worst drivers in Canada that I've personally seen so far: Asian with a Quebec license plate. Second place is East Indian from Quebec.
anywhere near a city drivers will suck

That oncoming car was staring rather intently at the disabled car, so they steered towards it. Into oncoming lanes. When an oncoming car was there. It happens all the time, and it's why when you get pulled over on the interstate you park four wheels in the fucking grass if you can. The cop will most likely follow you over there and it's safer that way. Not only that, but what happened here happens all the time in western nations. My dad, who drives an 18 wheeler for a living, got rear-ended by another 18 wheeler who was doing the same exact thing once. Every time there's a report of one crash on the radio, within five minutes, two or three more have spawned on the same stretch of road from lookie-loos.
