Malaysian defence minister has said that the United States' decision to make Jerusalem the capital of Israel was "a slap in the face for the entire Muslim world", pointing out that his country's military is prepared to perform its duty if its services are required."We have to be prepared for any possibilities. The ATM [Malaysian Armed Forces] has always been ready, waiting for instructions from the top leadership," the Malaysian state news agency Bernama quoted Hishammuddin Hussein as saying.
"Let us pray that this dispute would not lead to chaos," Hussein added.
The dramatic shift in Washington's Jerusalem policy triggered demonstrations in the occupied Palestinian territories, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq and countries around the world.
On Sunday, about 10,000 Indonesians rallied outside the US Embassy in Jakarta in support of Palestinians, the Associated Press news agency reported.
The protesters are carrying banners reading "US Embassy, Gets Out from Al Quds," ''Free Jerusalem and Palestinians" and "We are with the Palestinians." Al-Quds is the Arabic name for Jerusalem.
This fucking idiot just wants to bring Malaysia into the spotlight. And don't forget, he's a massive racist who support the ultras.
What is he going to do? Start a war? Generally you can't really deploy your armed forces into another country unless asked first unless you want to get shot at a lot.
Thanks Newt Gingrich, your shitty congress is still causing problems nearly 20 years after the fact.
This stupid decision is just going to be used as anti us fodder exactly like the state department has warned for probably 20 years since newts congress passed the fucking law
Is this what Malaysia has to do to say relevant because if so that’s kinda sad
I don't quite understand why this is causing the level of backlash that this is

Because Jerusalem is considered to be the center of Abrahamic Religions. And saying a state that is mostly consisted of one Religion of the 3 Abrahamic Religions is bound to piss off the fanatics and devouts of the other two religions.

Would be interested in seeing any Christian rage?

The secular Jewish government of Israel allows the Christians + Muslims to administer their own holy sites and even gave the holiest place in Judaism to Muslims because the Muslims have their third holiest site there. There's complete religious freedom. It's only a big deal because of part of Jerusalem being technically part of the west bank.

The senate voted a couple months ago 90-0 on a resolution that states jerusalem is the undivided capital of israel. Clearly this is the opinion of basically all of the senate, I don't understand how you can blame him for this.

They only vote for it because there is a waiver saying the President doesn't have to follow through on it - Trump is stupid enough to do it anyway.

I'm not sure what you mean. The resolution is just an official declaration from the senate its not a bill that president signs?
But regardless, why is it stupid that trump didnt kick the can down the road again? If this wasn't what congress wanted then they should have repealed it. This was a campaign promise of his and he did something he was elected to do.
