these guys get allot of publicity, gaining popularity.. the next steam ?
Not really a Steam competitor, but a great service alongside steam. I also personally prefer GoG's clientless distribution, and of course their DRM-free policy.

It's pretty much the Steam of old games.

Thats what im getting at, imagine if gog had meat boy, why would i download the bloody steam client to play a 75m flash game (equivalent) when i could just download it from gog, much easier.
Hm... interesting. GoG knows how to make good publicity.
:iiam:

Because GoG is for Good Old Games not the latest games.

Exactly, it's a niche distributor (damn good one at that)
Even though they do have a few new games for some reason.
I thought they got shut down
Personally, I agree with the RPS article. It's probably Police Quest. I kind of hope it is anyways, Police Quest was an amazingly fun game and nothing like anything else.
you can now access GoG from telnet
How about they finally get Shadow Warrior.
Holy shit Police Quest
the way gog.com works is better than steam imo
no drm and you're not bound to an app

Meh, I like the organization that Steam provides but GoG's system is good too and I love that virtual cabinet thing

i was about to post that GoG would be perfect if it had an optional download manager, then i went on the website and saw that they did
being tied to a client is kind of annoying
Especially when the client itself seems buggy and unresponsive most of the time, and has a terrible non-intuitive layout.
Back when steam was green it was pretty good, but it's just awful now :\

It's like they tried to break every UI design convention out there
oh those silly geese

I was providing an example with meat boy, so why did you even bother replying ?

Your example was stupid.
