The United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon rejected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's plea that the international organization delay the investigation into the war crimes committed by his forces in Gaza. Ban told the Israeli leader that he would not delay the investigation due to the serious and criminal nature of the 50-day onslaught against Palestinians by Tel Aviv armed forces, which destroyed tens of thousands of buildings, including various U.N. facilities which by law are not supposed to be targeted. The high-ranking diplomat implied that Israeli forces purposely aimed their missiles against the United Nations buildings that served as shelters to innocent Palestinian civilians, including children.
http://www.telesurtv.net/english/news/UN-Rejects-Israeli-Plea-to-Delay-Humanitarian-Crime-Investigation--20141002-0089.html Something to hide?
Oy vey
good Israeli is ruled by a bunch of sucmbag's
Good. Don't give them time to clean up the evidence.
It's anudah shoah
"including various U.N. facilities which by law are not supposed to be targeted." Ya done fucked up Israel. You reap what you sow.
The UN still cant do anything nor will it do anything aside from send in a menacing letter with strong words on it.
So what, Israel is found to be in violation of international law for like the 60th time. What next? There will be some finger wagging right before the US signs another $200 million in military aid. The UN has a lot of different priorities to face right now, and I don't imagine that the IDF's grey morality is truly at the top of that list.
Something to hide?
Guys wait our Palestine-sized rug hasn't arrived yet
Israel is fucked up. It's like they're admitting they committed war crimes and crimes against humanity, but they're trying to get out of it by not letting anyone find out which war crimes and crimes against humanity they've committed
The UN still cant do anything nor will it do anything aside from send in a menacing letter with strong words on it.
They have the ability to prosecute war criminals and often have you know.
"including various U.N. facilities which by law are not supposed to be targeted." Ya done fucked up Israel. You reap what you sow.
Didn't they rocket the UN shelters over 10 times after being told where they were Or was that bad information
They have the ability to prosecute war criminals and often have you know.
yeah they are totally gonna roll into israel and take them into custody
Bad goyim
The UN still cant do anything nor will it do anything aside from send in a menacing letter with strong words on it.
When the UNSC acts and no-one has vetoed it or threatened a veto unless it's heavily restricted, they act very effectively. Of course the US vetoes anything for Israel and every other permanent member (Russia, China, UK, France, US) vetoes for anything they are interested in or stand to lose from. When you get to situations like Operation Restore Hope, then they act well, but the well equipped and less restricted operations are so far apart due to permanent members being interested in a lot and waving their vetoes around.
yeah they are totally gonna roll into israel and take them into custody
No, Firstly, it would head to the UN Security Council in which they would vote for whether Israel should be investigated.Should the report on the operation "Protective Edge", in which the UN is investigating both sides responsible, due to be released in Mar 2015, outline a case of war crimes, they'd issue an summons for the international criminal courts in the netherlands. Then the trials would begin. Depending if the US decides to use it's veto on such issues and let's PA do this, it would be somewhat of a landmark case for Israel because, for the first time, it'd be the Israelites being investigated for human rights abuses, not the other way round. Not to forget, they explicitly shelled UN-controlled compounds which is against the Geneva Convention.
sooooo nothing? israel cant be touched and its hilarious and cute to think the UN can do anything.
thinking this way is exactly what the problem is
sooooo nothing? israel cant be touched and its hilarious and cute to think the UN can do anything.
Did you even read what I actually wrote? Israel shelling an internationally-protected area sheltering civilians is illegal, as said by Geneva Convention. And it being biased against Israel is wrong due to the fact that both sides are being investigated.
