In an incident symbolic of America's decline, President Obama's limo — nicknamed the Beast because of its supposed indestructibility — broke down in Jerusalem earlier today after some very smart person (an American, according to an Israeli news station) mistakenly filled it up with regular gasoline instead of diesel.
Maybe i should get my tinfoil hat but, i think after all these issues between Obama and Isreal, this incident could be planned by Mossad to get their hand on Obama's Limo. (bug, vulnerability check, it could be everything) :tinfoil:
I thought the rumors(History Channel "experts") that it could accept gasoline and diesel were real apparently not.
"Don't worry, Mr. President. This car is indestructible. It'll take crashes, bullets, explosions, meteorites, nukes, anything...Just don't fill it up with regular gasoline. That'll ruin the thing in a second."

The first line pretty much killed the article for me
R.I.P. Obama.
Wouldn't really call that a breakdown, more like someone being careless.
This was obviously the work of Desperado Enforcement.

No man it was North Korea, trust me on this.
What
I didn't think that someone could make an article like this biased but I think I was just proven wrong.
wait why is his limo diesel
oh boy that's not gonna be cheap to fix
Actually in most cases, you can revive a diesel engine purely just by flushing its tank and filling it with diesel then attempting to get it to pump through, most of the time it'll mix with the petrol left in the engine and come to life.
It's petrol engines which are royally fucked if you put diesel in them as even if you do the same, the petrol diesel mixture wont be enough to spark.
The only thing that might need replacing is the pump but as long as whoever filled it wrongly didn't try to get it to run after it died the first few times, the pump should be fine.
Not really expensive unless the pumps fucked.
wait why is his limo diesel
Cheaper to run than petrol, keep in mind this thing is likely hurled around a lot of different countries so they'd want something that's cheap to run.
That and a diesel can naturally pull its weight around better than a large petrol, thing likely weighs more than a suv.
Diesel and gas/petrol pumps need to have differently shaped nozzles.
It's impossible (or supposed to be) to put a diesel pump into a gasoline receptacle, as the pump nozzle is too large. Of course the reverse does not hold true (as seen here).
That thing runs on fucking diesel?

Well, it's built like a tank.

Its actually a heavy duty pickup frame and engine, with a cadillac body bolted to it.
Its 4 wheel drive too.
It's based on a Chevy Kodiak truck chassis, so I'm sure they just kept the engine and drivetrain.

Plus enough armour to withstand an extended assault by small arms fire, or a hit from a rocket propelled grenade. It's much heavier than it looks.
This is one of those fuckups that someone either wont live down for a dozen generations, or will be found out to be deliberate and quietly dealt with. Seriously, how do you manage to get away from "So you broke the multimillion dollar limo that the President of the most powerful country of the entire pot of existence rides in, by not reading the Diesel only sticker?"

If it was an old diesel engine that would be true because of the low pressures and different injection systems. If it's got common rail injection (as most modern cars do, and I bet this one has) you're gonna ruin the injectors as well.
Petrol engines don't get "royally fucked" if you put diesel in them. They might run rough or not at all, but you're not gonna damage them. Just flush the diesel, put in petrol and off you go.
Should've been called the Titanic.
It only broke down because they put the wrong fuel in the engine, the car itself is essentially an Armored Personnel Carrier mocked up as a Cadillac so it is pretty difficult to destroy by direct attack. And technically the car held, just the engine gave out.

Guess the two petrol cars we've had that diesel somehow managed to get into were just unlucky then.
I was only saying this off what I've experienced.
