Eckhart Confirms No Two-Face in The Dark Knight Rises
Even though Aaron Eckhart himself confirmed that his character in "The Dark Knight" was no longer among the living in Christopher Nolan's big-screen Batman universe, that hasn't stopped everyone from wondering if we'll see Harvey Dent (a.k.a. Two-Face) again in "The Dark Knight Rises."
Heck, even Eckhart wasn't certain we'd seen the last of his scarred, coin-flipping alter ego — so when he had the chance to ask Nolan about it, that's exactly what he did.
"Chris and I had a meeting, on the beach, just the two of us," Eckhart told MTV News at the red carpet premiere of his new film, "Rabbit Hole." "I said, 'Chris, a lot of people are asking me if I'm in the next 'Batman.' And Chris said, 'Yes?' I said, 'Am I?' He looked at me and he said, 'No.'"
And there you have it, folks. But what about the whole "meeting on a beach" thing?
Eckhart said the pair did indeed meet on a beach to discuss his character. In fact, "it's even weirder than I'm explaining it," he laughed.
"We found ourselves alone on the beach together on a stormy day and he delivered the news to me," said Eckhart. "I was heartbroken. But Chris has his reasons and my life must go on."
"Honestly, it was Heath's movie to go on," he added. "We had a great movie. I'm so honored to be a part of that movie. I know Chris has got something in store that is going to blow everybody away."
I think this was confirmed by the director months ago wasn't it
I actually want to see Dr. Strange.
It would be stupid to have him anyway. We don't need the same villain twice.
Eckhart's screams haunt my soul. Anyone remember The Core?
Wasn't it kind of obvious? I mean he died in The Dark Knight.
Sorry double post, internet was acting up.

I still hate they killed him off so fast.
One of the best villains in batman, and they give him a bitch death and a bit part.

They killed him off to make the Joker seem like a bigger threat. In Heath Ledger didn't die he probably would have gone on to reprise his role as Joker.
Get Arnold to play Dr. Freeze!

But the Joker was caught and Two Face's death was the last part of the movie before the poetic speech and end credits...

Nah, Jim Carrey as the Riddler...

But he isn't Evil damit! :argh:
He didn't get enough face time in Dark Knight, what a shame.

No, Jim Carrey never plays the same role twice. The only reason he did it for Ace Ventura is because it was a contract clause, and that was his rise to fame.

You mean Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy right?
The one dude in the bank robbing scene in the beginning, who shoots at the joker with the shotgun?
That's The Riddler. I have no doubt he's the villain in the next movie.

This?

Cute theory but no. Riddler has a genius level intellect and I doubt he'll be working in a bank for the mob.

He has a name tag on that shows his name to be the same as The Riddler's if I am remembering it right
'cute theory' is pretty condescending, no need to be a douchebag right out the gate
Nope

grasping at straws...
Huh... Not sure what it is that planted the idea in my head then.
Fair enough, I'd have to watch the movie again to see what the hell I was remembering wrong

Remembering it wrong actually

Due to this I rated Rainbow...
On a side note, I wanna see the riddler... Or scarecrow...
Personal opinion...
Would be cool if there was a batman film that meant to be scary and starred the scarecrow as main antagonist.
It would be stupid to have him anyway. We don't need the same villain twice.
We barely had him, he killed some mafia dudes in a car and some cops before getting killed himself. He wasn't much of a villain.

Batman Begins, he was pretty important.
how about we have a villain that isn't one of the standard six that are always proposed
let's have more penguins and less riddlers
I think this was confirmed by the director months ago wasn't it
It's been confirmed two face was dead like 5 times. I think this is the first time though they confirmed he wouldn't be in the movie, i guess for like a flash-back scene or something. Which has got me wondering if Nolan is going to remember to tell us who the five people Two-Face killed were. We only know like, 3 of them, but not the other two. When asked who they were Nolan just said that it's a story for another time. So I'm hoping he'll clear that up in this movie somehow.

Except Nolan confirmed no riddler awhile ago.

Penguin gets proposed a hell of a lot too.
I like what nolan did with Batman Begins by putting in the lesser known Ras Al Gul. I had never even heard of him before that. Hopefully he'll do that again with this one.

There's a reason a lot of them aren't always proposed.
I wonder if we'll have another visit from the oh, so interesting and highly important Scarecrow?
I want Humpty Dumpty
