I hate modern pop music for one thing: Auto-Tune. The majority of all popular songs today seem to use it. I honestly don't think I've heard T-Pain sing without it but I'm sure he would sound like a whale being bludgeoned if he didn't. Same with like Lil Wayne in Lollipop and Kanye West in Heartless. Basically in a nutshell, anyone can sound talented with Auto-Tune even if their voice sounds like a woman's when she's being raped. I personally think they sound annoying using it and they sound a lot like robots.

Well, it fits in some songs to be honest.
But I agree, they can't sing without it, mostly.
What ever happened to Duran Duran and the likes.
I thought it was because it all pretty much sounds the same.

Someone could pour their heart and soul into a piece of music, crafting a masterpiece from every sound he/she and his/her band can muster, that moves all who listen, yet be over shadowed by someone who get's a machine to do it for them.

The journey to making that music should at least impart something to the music. That's why it's an important part of the music. If you just push a button, and there it is, I don't think that really counts.
