President Barack Obama is criticizing the GOP for obsessing about Benghazi and Obamacare, saying it’s an “endless loop” that ignores the real needs of Americans. Appearing at a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee event at a Potomac, Maryland, residence on Monday evening, the president said he wanted a national conversation between the two parties on the efficacy of government programs. The GOP’s main task is “to figure out how can they make people sufficiently cynical, sufficiently angry, sufficiently suspicious that they can win the next election,” the president added. Obama contrasted the modern-day GOP with what he described as the more “effective, serious, patriotic, capable, sober-minded Republican Party” in years past. The president suggested that former Presidents Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt and Dwight Eisenhower would not have a place in the current Republican Party. Wow, he straight out said it. Good on him.
ice burned
Let's just ignore the fact that the majority of democrats at one time believed that the US government was involved in 9/11. *hint* Both parties do the same kind of stuff *hint*
What.
Give me a bit and I'll find the poll. Over 50% of democrats either fully or somewhat agreed that the government knew beforehand. So they either were part of it or purposefully didn't prevent it.

If there's one thing i sort of agree with republicans on, its that I don't think we did enough about the Benghazi thing. What have we done about it?
Both political parties in america are complete shit who knew
Let's just ignore the fact that the majority of democrats at one time believed that the US government was involved in 9/11. *hint* Both parties do the same kind of stuff *hint*
lol even fucking Michael Moore never claimed that, fuck off
Was it this one by chance? http://www.newspolls.org/surveys/SHOH33
Yeah, I'm almost certain that's the one, but it doesn't seem to have the crosstabs for individual groups shown. I know that I've seen them though. So they have to be somewhere.
Let's just ignore the fact that the majority of democrats at one time believed that the US government was involved in 9/11. *hint* Both parties do the same kind of stuff *hint*
besides the fact that this is so egregiously wrong, what in the fuck does it have to do with this piece of news holy shit why do the few conservative members of facepunch who frequently comment in SH also have to be some of the dumbest? can we get real, reasonable conservative posters rather than these Rush Limbaugh impressionists?
Give me a bit and I'll find the poll. Over 50% of democrats either fully or somewhat agreed that the government knew beforehand. So they either were part of it or purposefully didn't prevent it.
Stop trying to use ad hominem attacks to try to prove a completely unrelated point. Let's not forget how Republicans in congress stalled the jobs act, the fact that they cut welfare for the poor, the fact that they support lower taxes for the lower class, the fact that many Republicans don't even believe the president's an American citizen, or even the fact that they delayed the federal budget in congress, all the meanwhile sorting the fact that it was the democratic party's fault.
Let's just ignore the fact that the majority of democrats at one time believed that the US government was involved in 9/11. *hint* Both parties do the same kind of stuff *hint*
this is categorically untrue and is a uselessly divisive statement meant to make your side of the argument appear superior. you do this way too much.
Give me a bit and I'll find the poll. Over 50% of democrats either fully or somewhat agreed that the government knew beforehand. So they either were part of it or purposefully didn't prevent it.
A single poll doesn't compare to the incessant bitching Obama is talking about, unless the Democrats were also bringing that up every time during Bush's time then it doesn't make sense to bring that up in here. Yeah both sides make stupid claims about the other but that's not what this is about.
Damn people, I get that you don't believe me, but can I get some time to find the poll?
Damn people, I get that you don't believe me, but can I get some time to find the poll?
Why didn't you find it before you posted? There's no prize for posting early.
Damn people, I get that you don't believe me, but can I get some time to find the poll?
Generally, you look up your sources before making a statement, not the other way around.
Damn people, I get that you don't believe me, but can I get some time to find the poll?
A single poll ain't gonna save your stupid comment Which was off-topic, for starters
Damn people, I get that you don't believe me, but can I get some time to find the poll?
lmao are you mandated to keep posting in this thread or something? come back when you find the poll, or alternatively, don't, because it's so incredibly off-topic and ad hominem. this subforum is shitty enough with people inciting additional bullshit on top of what the threads themselves are even actually about. go put your poll in a GD thread or something.
Let's just ignore the fact that the majority of democrats at one time believed that the US government was involved in 9/11. *hint* Both parties do the same kind of stuff *hint*
infowars is not a credible source.
infowars is not a credible source.
thats exactly something a lizardman would say
Being reelected is great cause you no longer have to give a shit about the reelection.
thats exactly something a lizardman would say
silence before i aim my cancer beams at you
Being reelected is great cause you no longer have to give a shit about the reelection.
Then why is he still campaigning instead of being a president???
Then why is he still campaigning instead of being a president???
You're completely right the president should be locked in a room with his cabinet and can only talk to the outside world via orders written on a paper and slipped under the door. He should never appear in public or do anything but work 24/7 cause that's what a president's purpose is.

He does do presidential things, I'm not saying that he doesn't. But he's more interested in bashing republicans and campaigning for fellow democrats than doing any work. I hate to say this, because it's been overused, but he really has become a "community organizer" rather than a president. I'm sorry if you don't feel that way, but that's what I'm seeing.

You're the figurehead of the country, what you say has some meaning normally. Trying to convince the public your party is the right thing for your country is going to be pretty high on the list of "things that aren't legislative" to do. Every president has to do PR shit, talk shit about the other party, etc. it's kinda part of politics. Saying Obama hasn't been doing his job as president however is dumb, he seems to be doing roughly the same as every other president beforehand, passing legislation when possible, trying to keep the public happy, trying to live his own life on the side where possible, trying to keep global relations from falling to all fuck.

He gets called out for not doing enough and at the same time he gets called out for passing too many executive orders. He's being criticized for doing too little and doing too much, at the same fucking time.
