• 'Draft-Dodging' Donald Trump Prompts Outrage From Veterans For Warship Speech
Donald Trump has drawn sharp criticism from US veterans after making a speech aboard a new warship carrier whilst wearing a military coat and hat - despite his own questionable service record. The President appeared to relish sporting a green naval bomber jacket and baseball cap when he spoke in Virginia on Thursday and made clear his delight:•“You know what, they just gave me this beautiful jacket. They said, ‘Here Mr President, please take this home.’ “I said, ‘Let me wear it,’ and then they gave me the beautiful hat and I said, ‘You know, maybe I’ll do that’. We have a great ‘Make America great again’ hat but I said, ‘This is a special day, we’re wearing this, right?’”

Trump received five draft deferments during the Vietnam War - four for college and one for “bone spurs” in his heels. Before this the athletically-built, six foot two-tall, 22-year-old played American football, tennis, squash and was just about to fall in love with golf.
http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/draft-dodging-donald-trump-prompts-outrage-from-veterans-for-warship-speech/ar-AAnKWZT?li=AA59G2&ocid=spartanntp
Maybe he SHOULD have gone to Vietnam. It probably would have benefited our timeline if he did.
Seeing this smug prick's face every day may be one of the worst things about him being in office.
They gave me the nice coat and hat to wear because it was a special day. A day which you yourself wouldn't know the meaning of if it hit you in the face with a service rifle, after dodging the draft and referring to those suffering PTSD as pussies.

As grim and fubar as that war was, it would have changed him beyond recognition, for better or for worse, and either way he wouldn't be the problem he is now.

Not to mention, he'd probably not have made it through basic without his daddy pulling strings.
Born to kill, not to serve.
If only, if only. Though with that said, if Donald Trump DID die in Vietnam, he'd probably have been replaced by Khan Noonien Singh as the Republican candidate, because screw all our hopes for a better timeline.

Odds are because of his college education, he would at least have been made an officer. Don't picture him as a M16-wielding grunt trudging through the jungles because that's exceptionally unlikely if he went.

I would have probably dodged the draft too, honestly. Conscientious objector, non-violent, blah blah blah. It was an ugly and pointless war filled with atrocities. I wouldn't want to be a part of that.

Not to mention Trump's ego of "I know everything better than our generals."
Maybe he SHOULD have gone to Vietnam. It probably would have benefited our timeline if he did.
I know you mean him dying, but what if he did and survived and became a better man because of it?
I know you mean him dying, but what if he did and survived and became a better man because of it?
That's how I interpreted that post actually.
That's how I interpreted that post actually.
Everyone is socially autistic on the internet.
I mean I'd probably try to dodge the draft. I'm a big ol' stinky pussy.
How much fucking more is it going to take to get this cunt impeached.......and then we have fucking pence to deal with.

Remember, L Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology, served in the US Navy during the 2nd world war. He came out of the Navy as big of a piece of shit as when he entered.
Maybe he SHOULD have gone to Vietnam.
I mean I'd probably try to dodge the draft. I'm a big ol' stinky pussy.
In a conflict like Vietnam? I don't know if I'd entirely be able to blame you. Just make sure that if it comes to that, own your decision. Don't try to make out like you're some kind of badass patriot years later, like our fearless leader and that shitbag Ted Nugent are doing.
fuck trump, kill pence, marry america
Welcome to the terrorist watchlist.

If they needed a rifleman, he'd have been a rifleman, education be damned.

Infantry is open to anyone with a minimum passing score, and in a draft army, Infantry tends to collect a lot of low scorers. Not so much with the volunteer army, it tends to be a mix of idiots and smart dudes. Get a decent score back then (as with now), you might have the option of doing something relatively safe, like Military Intelligence. That being said, you aren't wrong. "Needs of the Army", warm bodies etc. etc.

He still makes Trump look like a bitch.
Donny Draft Dodger does have a nice ring to it.
Donny Draft Dodger does have a nice ring to it.
Dodgy Don Dorky Don
Trump not only dodged the draft to avoid serving in Vietnam, but he fucking insulted John McCain, (a man whom I disagree with on almost every policy point), who is a decorated and unquestionable Vietnam war hero and POW who endured torture that little bitch Donny could never imagine (AND TRUMP IS PRO-TORTURE TO BOOT!). He said he knows more about strategy than the generals, he compared his struggle to avoid catching STD's to being a brave soldier in Vietnam, he said his military high school gave him better training than servicemen receive today, he dismissed vets with PTSD as weak, he casually ordered a dangerous special operations raid over dinner which resulted in the death of a Navy Seal (RIP Chief Owens) and then paraded the still-grieving slain vet's widow on national TV to score political points. The dude is a Grade A SHITBAG, he has NEVER sacrificed anything for the United States, and he doesn't deserve to lead our Armed Forces.
Regarding the draft, they make you what they want you to be. If they needed a rifleman, he'd have been a rifleman, education be damned.
College education normally gives someone joining the military an officer commission, which Trump had.
